  • Thanks for uploading all of this. With this I can at least show people some of my old game without having to dig up disks and try to make them work in Windows. :)

    Best wishes - Neal Hallford

  • Thank you for uploading this!!!

My dad wrote the music! Jan Paul Moorhead's me pap! I thought everyone had forgotten about this game. I guess i've just always run into the wrong people.

I'm happy to see that the music holds the same nostalgia for other people as it does for me!

  • @Anglerfishpie Wow thats awesome. Your father made some incredible tracks for Krondor, and the music as well as the game will be remembered forever. There are only a few composers in this day that make such amazing songs for video games.

  • @DShiznate Thank you. He appreciates it :)

  • @Anglerfishpie this game is one of those you will never forget, especially if you played it freely without following the story :)

  • @TheRealVordox unfortunatley, this game was sort of before my time- i was too young to be playing pc games- or really anything more complicated than legos, really :)

i read the book, though, and always have enjoyed listening to the music :)))

  • @Anglerfishpie Heh, did your father also make the song "This Kingdom mine"? :)

Probably one of the most well known songs from BaK if anything.

  • @TheRealVordox yes, he did all the music

except the singer on the piggy song was the building's janitor :)

  • @Anglerfishpie does your dad make more music? what else did he compose? for some reason i've always liked the midi version of BaKs music (as rendered on an old school soundcard) better than the cd version

  • @rekingooo right now he's a teacher at Berklee College of Music... he doesn't have any other music out on cd yet, but he will- if i keep bugging him about it, he told me ;)

the music he really has a passion for is not quite like this- he loves african and latin american music the most, so most of his compositions will go along those lines rather than be similar to the rennaissance and middle-age music that he was studying for this game

  • @Anglerfishpie I remember the music from this game, I liked it. I remember I could play the game's soundtrack on my cd player back in the day.

  • @Anglerfishpie the game is named as legendary rpg of all time in Poland:)

  • This music can only be described as some funky medieval shit!

  • Awesome post. Like it.

  • This was, and still is, my favorite RPG of all time and I love the books too. Final Fantasy nowadays can take a hike (Long live 3 and 4, screw the rest)

  • Just one word: EPIC!

  • I love this game!

  • music is one of the best I ever heard in a videogame, perhaps the best ever.. i think no other videogame have such a complex soundtrack, and inspired

  • I wholeheartedly agree.

  • yeah the Lamut song is pretty amazing for a videogame, i remember playing this as a kid and totally diggin this shit

  • ...You must not play a lot of video games, man.

  • Looking for this game a long time. Sorry for bad English, but I am Bulgarian. Who wants this game I could send it back if I find skype: dimitrakis92 ... I played this game before, but you may not play on XP yesterday and after watching this klipche I wish to seek another way and Finally I found this game and can not make it to varvi of XP will gladly send it on skype :) I love this game!

  • this game is a free download these days easily avilable with a simple google search, it works on xp just fine, you can try these two tools but you will need some experience, i have no intention of explaining their use: VDMS is a virtual sound manager and often is all you need to run this game in xp, but there is also a somewhat simpler utility called DosBox but both will require either some reading or some experience tweaking computers

  • someone needs to convert this game to flash or something

  • If you're running DosBox, you may want to increase the amount of processing cycles so that some sections go by faster.

  • Man, I forgot how great a job they did with this game considering the limitations of the time. Thanks for posting this!
