mine just says "searching satellite signal"

and i reset the box and tried this and it didnt work and now i dont know what to do

a little rain out here and i've been staring at the "searching for satellite signal" for half an hour now. i'm seriously wanting to organize some sort of boycott or petition or SOMETHING to shove DirecTv's shitty service up their own ass to make them come about and fix this. why pay for a service when it doesn't work like it should 100% of the time?

@TheHevquip I had that, so I reset my reciever and nothing happened so I switched the plugs in the back and reset it again now i'm getting a 772 message saying "acquiring guide data". Don't know what to do.
