  • wowwwww this is madness( good madness)...awesome...nhyahhahahahahhahahahhaahhahahaaa

  • I like nasal singing, I don't really have a problem with it. But when I sing, I just can't produce a nasal sound in singing if I tried...

  • would having a cleft palate, even after surgery, make a nasally sounding voice?

  • @13corvuscorax I am not a doctor, but would ask, are you the person with the cleft palate? If so, are you working with any speech therapists? Without knowing the particulars of the situation, it would be hard for me to answer this question. Can you give me more information?

  • Absolutely love the farm animal sounds. Great.

  • @rovingdesertfox Thanks! I figure that learning to sing should be fun.

  • does this help for talking nasally too??I have a friend who wants to know but she has talked nasally her whole life though & was told its not fixable or changeable..

  • @alwayzthinkin13 Sorry to take so long to get back to you. But the quick answer is yes. I would want to know who told her that it is not fixable or changeable? A doctor, speech therapist?

  • @jwmb224 The air will go through both the nose and the mouth. Don't think too much about where the sound comes out so much as how it feels inside of you as you release it. The key is in finding the freedom in singing that gives your voice the most power and beauty. Also, I'm encouraging everyone to post questions on my site, singingmastermind(dot)com because I can answer things better there. Pinching your nose while singing? Yes there is a difference.

  • I love the explanation and tips on removing the nasal sound. I hate it when I record my own singing voice and I can hear it! And yes it sounds completely annoying!

The main areas of trouble for me are when I hit the letters M and N. Now matter how hard I try I can not NOT sound nasal when I sing those betters. It sounds disgusting.

    Any tips?

  • @lesliedbruce 1st tip is that you have to change your mindset before you will solve the other problems. Check out my tips about that here: singingmastermind(dot)com/singing-voice-mindsets/ Also, I answer questions much faster there than here on YouTube so once you read that article, then post a comment on that page and I can help you a lot more. About M and N. They have natural resonance when they are freely sung so I am not sure what you mean by your nasal sound. Post more on my site, ok?

  • please can you help me with neil young's old man when he sings the high notes can you give some advice please?

  • @zemzamiimad High notes come from releasing the voice with freedom and learning how your breath and relaxing you jaw and tongue can help you do that. Read my singing tongue articles here for more help and post questions there. It is much easier for me to help you at the site. singingmastermind(dot)com

  • hi i have a nasal sound especially on the lower notes for some reason.. i know for a fact that i have sinus year long allergies that keep my nasal cavities congested. when i use a decongestant my tone improves... however not as much as i would like. what do u advise me to do? my nasal quality is hindering my progress a lot.. wuts the point of increasing my range if the tone is not attractive

  • @waelm83 Congestion from allergies can be helped. I do a lot of things nutritionally that can help, but it would be impossible to talk about that here. Nasal quality usually isn't due to congestion though. I remember a master class that I took once that showed a video of a singer when she had a bad cold (congested) and when she didn't. She sounded exactly the same in both videos. There are definitely things you can do to help make your tone more attractive.

  • @singbabysing thanks a lot for your response.. I have a follow up question: for consonents such as "ng" and "m" and "n" wouldnt congestion/blocked nose or a deviated septum make the sound nasally in this case? thanks

  • @waelm83 I have a deviated septum and it does not cause nasality. Nasality is caused by a closing of the area in the back of the throat that leads up into the sinus cavities. Take a look at the picture on this page of my singingmastermind website (the side view of the head with the turquoise arrows) and look at the arrow that points to the soft palate. And I encourage you to read the article too. singingmastermind(dot)com/your-singing-tongue1/

  • How do you know if you have a truly nasal voice though? not sure if mine is or not...

  • @Rebphoenix The best way to find out is to record yourself and listen back to what you hear.

  • wtf is going on in this video hahaha all the sfx and diagrams and her voice and everything. she's bat shit crazy

  • i hate having a nasal voice!

  • @lattlay I know the feeling! But you can learn to change things with your voice so that you don't hate your voice. A nasal voice can be changed. That's the good news. You might want to check out my article about resonance too at singingmastermind(dot com)/singing-with-good-vibrations/

  • hi, ive got something wrong with my nose which basically means i have quite a stuffed up nose all the time. would this be why i have a nasally voice? im having a operation on it soon to get rid of it.

  • @robmeister222 It's hard for me to say whether or not this is why your voice might be nasally without knowing more of the particulars. Have you had the operation yet?

  • Thank you so much for clarifying this for me! I have been confused for so long. I learned the bad habit of "pinching off" the nasal cavity because I used to have bad episodes of post nasal drip. When I finally learned to relax it let it resonate, singing became so much easier, and my range extended significantly. I still "pinch" in a few places in different registers, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Thank you so much for taking the mystery out of this for me. God Bless.

  • sing baby sing xD

  • Sing baby sing xD

  • Well, you see I sing and talk nasaly and I am not even sick. Keep in mind I am still very young so does it go away eventually?

  • @iamwherewolf It can, but anything you can do to help it will increase your eventual success with creating a more resonant voice for yourself. Especially because you are young, if you get an early start with solid vocal techniques, you might be surprised how quickly you can change things around.

  • Well, I have a chronic allergies, will this method even help with that?

Is there ways you know of I could get rid of chronic allergies?

I just don't know what to do, I sound so nasally and stupid.

    Help? :)

  • @Arcanum210 Be sure to read this article about your singing mindset: singingmastermind(dot)com/inside-voice-outside-voice/

  • i know a person who naturally has a really nasal voice. It's kind of annoying...any idea what causes it? :l

  • @destinyhopefan112 This video explains what causes nasal singing. However, there are other factors too, many of which are emotional causes that tighten up the passageways.

  • is it possible for one's voice to be naturally nasal?

  • That's a good question. It can be, but it is unusual. Most of the time a nasal voice is caused by throat muscle tension or a cold/congestion. Sometimes people think it is natural because they have become accustomed to hearing themselves that way, but most of the time it is not a natural thing. Are you having trouble with it?

  • @singbabysing wut does it exactly mean to be "naturally nasal". I am struggling with nasal sounding voice, not only in singing but talking too. I'm not sure whether its due to too much air flowing above the soft palate or too little air. Is it possible that the area above my soft palate is too congested with mucus due to allergies, or that my soft palate does not form a perfect seal when it closes and leaves an unwanted gap for air to flow into the sinus area.

you can be my godsend savior?

  • @waelm83 Not sure about being your godsend savior, but I do know that even when a person has a severe cold, when they send the voice into the right places in the head, the nasal sound can disappear, so I wouldn't say the allergies would stop you. Air flowing into the sinus area will give you a breathy sound, not nasal. Nasal is pinching off the sound in the back of your throat. Release the throat tension and chances are the nasal sound will go away.

  • thanks a lot for your advice I really appreciate. I will focus on releasing the tension and tell you what happens. It was really nice to know that the nasal sound is not because of my allergies :)

  • @singbabysing i focused hard on releasing throat tension and i noticed an improvement in my sound with less nasality. Also, i combined this with pinching my nose shut with my fingers and singing open vowels a,e,i,o,u and i noticed right away how my nose and thus fingers vibrate when i sing these vowels incorrectly. I adjusted by sending the resonance lower and more back so that my nose didn't vibrate. I practiced this and sang with open nose and i did not sound nasal at all. Finally! :D:D:D

  • @untitledpj yeah..its just no matter how hard i try, especially with the high notes, i end up singing nasally or from the throat, where the throat musle tension does occur, but its like because my voice naturally itself seems a bit nasal..im wondering if its possible...

  • I only listened rto 1 min and 45 seconds and already i saw a great improvement in my voice. thanks yoU!

  • Fantastic! Thanks for letting me know!

  • My singing teacher says i need more nasal resonance in my voice ? How can i accomplish this?

  • What is your singing teacher telling you to do to get nasal resonance?

  • multiple reasons

  • Without knowing what the teacher is saying or doing, it is hard for me to know how to advise you.

  • I think they want to achieve a strong sharp metallic sound like guns and roses stuff

  • When I sing, my voice has a very dark, un-clear sound. It's all low end and not enough high frequency in the tone, if you know what I mean. Does this mean I'm singing nasally?

  • Not necessarily. Low tones are great, especially if you support really well with your breath. Have you looked at my breathing exercises on this channel?

  • Ok here's a question: I can sing one way where I can hear my voice very loudly in my head. The sound is very strong and focused, but it has very little vibrato, although it does not feel 'tight'. (This is based on the 'nyeh' sound)

The other way is to keep as open as possible and push out on the lower back, which can produce some nice soaring notes.

My question is this: which is healthiest and which projects better?

  • I always recommend what feels the most free and least tense. The strong focused sound in the head seems like the one that is healthiest. The high soaring notes can be there without pushing. Experiment with sliding upwards with your pitch very slowly. You will find where a possible register shift might be.

  • Hmm, ok, thanks :)

  • liked it very much, regarding of chin movements and toungue as long as you are a singing expertise, why each time when i watch whitney houston singing live her chin moves alot and her tongue inside moves as pulsing in one rythem. i know i'm a good singer but my tongue isn't not moving as hers when i sing the same note. any opinion?

  • There are a lot of opinions about this issue. I am one who believes that for long-term use of the voice, it is best to support the tone with as little effort as possible. There is less chance for vocal damage that way. When the chin and tongue are moving around a lot, it just shows that the breath support is not as strong as it can be. But hey, who can argue with Whitney Houston? She's great!

  • sp there isn't any method that says chin or tongue should move in a proper way. sometimes i use my chin to bring up some melodies specially when singing whitney's "learned from the best" after the "say goodbye x2" part, may i have an opinion regarding this?

  • If you look at the anatomy of your voice box, you will see that when you bring up the chin, you are pulling against the larynx and thus making it harder to place the melody. Not everyone cares about this, but I'd say work on trying to keep your style and the emotion of the song without pulling up the chin. Let me know how it goes.

  • lol, this was funny!

  • Wonderful video, saw this in a restaurant, can't wait to go home and get my own mirror :)

  • Sing higher, first of all, but tossing away what the teacher who couldn't sing as high said. I hate that when that happens. About the breath...can you tell what's going on with your deep lower abs? Whistle notes come out of good muscle control in the abs and elsewhere.

  • flawless!!!

  • Meaning the technique or?????

  • of kourse!!!..if u kan answer,do u thing i kan praktice singing everyday as long as i stay in my tessitura,or just the vokal exsrcises n skales? or not everyday if u r so kind!!!

  • I've always had a nasal voice when talking and singing which really annoyed me since I've been told that I would be really good singer if my voice wasn't so nasal. I always thought that my voice was just stuck like that and i would never be able to sing well, which really fustrated me since I'm a lyricist. But this vid proved me wrong. I was shocked at the dramtic difference in my voice. My voice just sounded so much clearer and lost it's whine. So thatnk you SO MUCH. This really helped me.

  • YOU are SO WELCOME! I'm THRILLED that this helped you so tell the world about it and let's help others! Thanks.

  • i found this immensely useful, thank you!

i have a question though. I heard that you can check if you're singing nasally by checking if your nose vibrates when you're singing. is this an effective way to check if you're singing nasally?

  • Glad to hear this was useful. I've never heard of anything about checking the nose vibrations to identify nasality. I would suggest recording yourself and listen back to your voice. What does it sound like to you? Nasal (stuffed nose sound) or not?

  • I love your videos They're so helpful.

When I'm belting (sing loud notes) it sounds really nasal unfortunately :((

  • Belting can do that if you are not careful. Send the sound towards the tip of your nose and see if that helps.

  • the animal sounds are a hilarious touch. great video helps me alot!

  • I love the animal sounds too. These days I'm listening to blue jays and hummingbirds to see what I can learn from them. Ha!

    Keep singing!

  • I like you, thank you. You make it easy to understand and make very good lessons. Thanks again.

  • I'm happy you are learning something from these videos. I hope to make more soon.

  • haha

at 2:28 its like an angel then Rosan

    hahaha

anyways, you have a beautiful voice

  • Ha! I love your point of view and thanks for the compliment.

  • HOW THE HECK ARE HUMANS SUPPOSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THAT?!?!?!

"put you larynx toward the front of your skull. "

    I MEAN WHAT THE HECK!!

  • Well.....what can I say?

  • "If you wanna use your voice strongly beautifully with great joy for your entire life, then im telling you, you have to set you foundation in such a way you reserve it!" Great advice.

  • I have a different request for you :) I hope you don't mind... I used to be hearing impaired when I was a kid, and that made me learn how to speak wrong I guess. My problem is that I don't feel like I have a strong voice. I'm a big man but I don't have a voice to prove it. Whenever I'm around a group of people, they won't understand what I say when there's noise arond, but they don't have problems understanding themselves in the same situation. What could I do to project my voice better? Thanks!

  • this is shit she doesn't actually give any practical advice on how to avoid nasal sounds, and whats with all the animal sounds? a waste of five minutes

  • thanks for your spirit and guidance

  • Yr great. So much love for what you do.

    Plus..you remind me of Susan Sarandon...hot ! ha x

  • Aw.......thanks!

  • i have a very bad nasal voice. i thought that i had polyps, but the doctor din'nt find any...

i want realy to change my voice. i hope you guys can help me

  • Polyps wouldn't cause a nasal voice anyway because the nasal sound generally comes from not using the soft palate and tongue muscles to keep the upper back part of the throat open. Try this: think of Fran Drescher and exaggerate the nasal sound saying, "I cannot open my voice." Now pretend to yawn and say: "I can open my voice." The sense of yawning usually helps.

  • Sing like Billy Corgan then!

  • You are a very great teacher and watching this has been very infomative! Thank you very much.

  • Thanks for wanting to learn and be sure to tell all your friends about these lessons!

  • I have a very nasally voice... and no teacher has ever taught me anything to get around it... its almost like I can't keep the muscle memory to make the sound not resonate through my sinus. Any exercises you would recommend?

  • See the comment about Fran Drescher and yawning. Pretend you are yawning when you sing. There are more artificial things you can try too, like biting gently on a pen or eraser between your teeth and speaking or singing. Sometimes this will allow you to use the muscles without as much tension.

  • I get the nasally voice also because of I broke my nose when I was younger..

  • Sorry to hear that. My friend has broken his nose 8 times but has learned to sing with a nasal sound. So keep working at it! It has more to do with the soft palate....

  • I get nasally voice sometimes due to my allergies....

  • You can actually learn to sing through those allergies so that it doesn't sound nasal to your listeners, although it might sound muffled inside of yourself. Some interesting work was done at USC years ago about the sound of voice with and without a cold (similar swelling to allergies).

  • wow..very educational video...and very inspiring message at the end.

  • wow u sound like julie andrews! but i have a problem with this nasal thing. I talk nasal and sound like a baby. When I sing I think im great but when i record it it sounds nasal. at least i think it does. My voice isnt clear but sounds congested

  • help me!! i have a major problem with nasal singing. the video helped me, but didnt. do you have any more tips? because even when i hold my nose, it actually makes it nasalllier? lol, but i would love you if youu helpd me stop nasal singin!!

  • Wow your a great tacher an your funny! Your the perfect teacher, but heres the thing, I sound really well when I sing, I mean not using the nose, using my diaphragram, singing clear and well, but wheres my vibrations? How can I get them to come? It bothers me how I hold a note and it sounds so straight and weird. Please if you could make a video or help me somehow for vibrations, like exercises or whatever thankyou. I love you!!!

  • Yeah, I have the same problem.

I can get the pitch, but I don't understand how to do the subtle vibrato that is necessary to make it sound good.

  • I'm 15, and I haven't been to Chorus class in about a month now. I just started videotaping myself singing today, and I realized how immature and nasally sounding my voice is. I even noticed that my nostrils flared when I sang. I know for a fact it does not do that when I speak, and I'm almost certain it did not while I was in school. I'm also feeling a bit restricted. This could be from not practicing properly..is there any way to sound more mature without being operatic? Thanks so much!

  • What the hell was with the sound effects.

    Regardless, this was pretty helpful

  • lul that makes seeense =]

i have a question. If you sound better when you dont use your diaphragm, should u use it anyways? and if u dont use your diaprhagm when u sing, could anything bad happen?

  • what a bullshit, do an anatomy course, learn how your instrument works, you need a course !!!

  • How sad of you to communicate like this. I use anatomy books all the time and have discovered that the mouth muscles and the attitude moving those muscles is often the most important anatomy lesson of all. Share what you know with the world and make it a better place.

  • Hi Joy! Thank you for the great videos. They're really helpful. I love to sing as well but unlike your voice, my voice is easily strained. is it because i don't know how to warm up my vocals properly? since i'm a beginner, i heard it takes up to 30 mins to 1 hour for my vocals to warm up. i was wondering what you do to warm up your vocals?

  • Sorry to take so long to reply. I warm up with the "ng" sound, very slowly and softly, making sure that I pay attention to my breath control and the placement of my tongue (it shouldn't pull back when you sing, especially when you sing higher pitches).

  • Hey everyone, I think I accidentally removed a few of your comments. YouTube has changed the format since last I replied to people and so if you don't see your comment posted, try writing to me again. Thanks.

  • LOL Love the random goofiness with handy tips.

  • Thanks. I love being goofy while I give serious info.

  • thank u 4 the great video =)

  • You are very welcome!

  • i dont sound naselly when i sing, i cant sing high notes! on all of my favourite disney songs, like off little mermaid and pocahontas, they go from really low, to really high straight away! i cant do this! if u know how, and ig gu have time, could you make a video showing what is the best teqnuiqes pleasee? i would be so grateful because ur a wonderful teacher! [and i have subscribed] i am 14, and i would like to get to ur age [25? :) ] and still be able to sing!

  • Ok, I LOVE the 25 years old part! :)

The register thing (going from low to high) is a very common problem. I don't have a video about that yet but hope to in the future. Meanwhile, visit my website too to get more help and tell all your friends about this site. Thanks.

  • You are a great teacher. I am very thankful for your videos and I feel like you helped me with my health, also. "Singing is your joy released." Thank you so much.

  • im not sure if my random singing and screaming is helping my voice get better or worse. i try to sing and match pitch, key or what ever it is i think i have a good ear. and i take advice like this very seriously.....but should i stop singing until i can get an official voice lessons. im afraid of ruining my voice because i dont know how to controll it well yet. please respond. dont have much cash for lessons yet. and thanks for your advice.

  • i was impressed by your help here but when you did the nasally voice you sounded like nelson from the simpsons do me a favor shoot another video and with the nasal voice for me just go HA HA like nelson

  • First time anyone's said that! lol

  • your crazylol but your really good =D and very help full

  • Aw...thanks

  • Soooooooo helpful,thanx !

  • Nice to hear it!

  • Why is it that everyime i sing, it feels like im pushing my voice out, and it feels tense and tight, and in a short while my throats start feeling uncomfortable?

  • Most of the time when this happens it is due to pushing out the breath instead of knowing how to use compressed breath for maximum voice power. Also, a tight throat results from trying to tighten the muscles to go higher when one needs to relax them. Breath control is REALLY important in good singing so use my dog pant and slow leaky tires videos and be sure to visit my website for more info.

  • is alot of diet soda or regular soda bad for your vocal cords

  • According to the medical experts, soda is bad for you health in general because of its high phosphorus content (sucks out the calcium in your body) and other matierials in it that tend to compromise the immune system. I don't recommend it for singers and rarely drink it myself.

  • I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.

  • I listened. Nice voice. I LOVE musical theatre, and actually compose and write lyrics for new musical theater works.

  • Wah, I have a very nasal voice, even when I'm speaking. I'll have to try these exercises then :D. Oh yes, one more thing - I'm having a bit of trouble just trying to find my mix in the first place - could you do a video that specifically targets that? Thanks :D

  • Do you mean by mix your middle voice?

  • Ah yes, sometimes other people refer to it as their mix. Yes, I do mean middle voice ^^

  • Find the mix by speaking in your natural voice and then just keep extending the length of time that you say a word. For instance, the word "hello." Say "hello" a few times but each time you say it, extend the "o" vowel a bit longer each time until it naturally becomes a note that is sung. Your singing voice is your speaking voice refined about 1,000 times. Speak out the note. That's where your middle voice or mix is.

  • I do not know how to carry a tune. I've always had trouble with it. My mom told me to practice by plugging one ear with my finger and listen to myself but it does not work...what should I do?

  • Do you have a way of playing a note on a keyboard (just one) and recording yourself singing so you can listen back to it?

  • yeah...I'll try that...

  • Sounds like fun. Is this a voice teacher at school or a private voice teacher?

  • Do you have any lessons for kids age about 12/13.I'm 12 and i sound a bit nasal sometimes when i sing.Great videos, love them!

  • Same lessons apply for all ages. I do have some exercises that are available by download for your age group, but I haven't made them public yet because I need to set up a PayPal account for doing that.

  • I wish you would make a video for people who are a little more advanced and want to know how to do more complex sounds

  • Sounds good. What do you have in mind when you refer to complex sounds?

  • hello there. i was wondering if you could post a lesson on how to use vibrato. thank you! your videos are great :)

  • Thanks. I've had a number of requests for this type of lesson. We'll see if it can be done in the future.

  • ok. your lessons are so great. its just that when I record myself singing, I am way off the notes, although inside my head it sounds like im right! Also

it may sound weird, but when I listen to a song I record, its lower than I thought i was singing...

  • OK. Sounds like you're having pitch problems, which is not at all uncommon. There are several software programs out on the market that might help you with this. Unfortunately, I haven't used any of them so I can't recommend any particular one. You might try googling to find one that might interest you.

  • excellent lesson! :)

  • Thanks! I wrote and posted my comment but it didn't show up.

  • what a WOMAN!!!

  • Yes!

  • Tnxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx! <3 !!

  • You're welcommmmmmmme!

  • Boy I'm getting discouraged...when I listen to recordings of my voice lessons I sound terrible!! Is this what people hear when they listen to me?

I'm 28 and been singing forever. In two months I'm auditioning for the part of Belle in a community production Beauty and the Beast. I'm trying to fight off the discourageing thought that practice won't help me because my physiology makes me sound horrible! Is this a possibility?

    thanks for your time!

    a.d. layton, utah

  • What kind of voice lessons are you taking? Are you learning a Classical, Broadway, Jazz or Pop type technique? If I could hear you I could tell more about your voice by listening and watching. But I do encourage you to not be too hard on yourself because I remember that I couldn't stand listening to myself sing on a recording at one time too. So don't get discouraged.

  • hey whats up, i hope this video helps me get my voice in good shape. im in a music group and im wanting to sing the vocals on my new song, but my voice doesnt sound very good, i joined choir hoping that would help but it didnt help much. im trying to be able to sing in an alto (i think) do you think you could help me out with that? i would very much appreciate it.

  • Hey, thanks for writing. If you keep doing all the videos and use them as many times as possible during the day, they'll help. Sorry to hear the choir didn't help much. Usually a choir doesn't deal with individual voices or voice training. Use my videos and the resources on my site and stay in touch.

  • ok, thanks ill be sure to use the videos

  • you're amazing, if it weren't 5:30 in the morning I'd think of something more to say. But nevertheless what you're doing is awesome. (:

  • Thanks so much. I hope you'll tell all your friends!

  • I appreciate all you do, Ms. Joy. I've found myself getting much better in terms of resonance and projection. However, I still want to know how I can get the full, powerful voice. Fantasia comes to mind. She has such a rich, full quality in her voice that seems so effortless. I want this.

    Here's a video of Fantasia: watch?v=9jWK9lPYXkE

  • Thanks so much. Part of what can release more power in a voice is thinking that you're speaking when you sing. In other words, whatever the message is in the song, you are singing it as though you are telling someone else what you feel about it. Try not to think about singing when you're singing. Think about communicating the message of the song.

  • I will take note of the words and message I am trying to convey more now. Thanks, Ms. Joy.

  • You betcha! Stay in touch!

  • I have the sodding nasal sound its one thing letting me down with my singing I'll apply this method. Thank you. x

  • You're most welcome!

  • Don't pay attention to the bad comments. Always focus on the constructive ones that tell you how you can improve. Often people who aren't brave enough to sing publicly give bad comments & usually don't know what they're talking about. I watched your vid again and see that 1 thing you can do to improve is lift your cheeks more to help your voice get further into your "mask." This can help it get further out of the jaw/throat tension that is common when we start to learn more about singing.

  • I also don't think you have a nasal sound. I wonder what your vocal teacher is telling you to do?

  • Your videos are inspirational! "Singing is your joy released." That's me!!!

Is what you are suggesting the same as lowering the larnyx? I get that if I pretend to yawn. Does that make sense?

  • Thanks! That's a good way to think of it. I tell people to think of a yawn or biting into a large apple.

  • Yeah brilliant video. I'm a horribly nasal singer and have been writing the music for a solo album just recently. It's not gonna be a commercial smash or anything but I noticed that as my music and writing was improving I'd never spent time improving my voice - and it started out dreadful as it is. I'm not trying to be the best singer in the world but I've now realised that with a bit of practice and your website I should be able to pick up all the tips I need to dramatically improve my voice.

  • I really glad that my efforts are helping your efforts. Don't ever give up on yourself and DO keep writing the songs and working on your voice. The world needs singers!

  • how do you make your voice go up and down?

  • It's like a gentle siren effect. Have you watched my Resonance 2 - Silly Spinning Siren video? Also, read my "starting the tone" article on my website.

  • you are so helpful...but how do i know i am doing it correctly?

  • You could record yourself. Also, using a mirror when you sing truly helps to see what you're doing. Be sure to follow the suggestions I also give on my website.

  • thanks
