what a amazing video to share! thank you. i seen you guys on NY ink. i was so touched by your story. don't let the few negative people even slow you down, your story is a inspiration for so many. Many Blessings for you and your wonderful family.
Why exactly VIEW? It does not fit to show on CI. Special picture on CI? Unbelievable! I myself am also a loyal fan of making VIEW and the pictures I always fantastic, but I'm just disappointed because CI. I think this is product placement! I have noticed this is snaking advertising. I am against this. A surreptitious advertising for multimedia processing is normally prohibited. Bad example for all parents and health harmed their children!
Hearing impaired people can learn to speak just like hearing. My daughter is profoundly deaf bilaterally and she does intensive speech therapy. The way it works is they make the mouth forms and you can also feel the vibrations from the throat as to what it should sound like. She has great speech because someone took the time to teach her letter sounds. I don't why some of the people posting even took the time to do so. Because she is deaf does not give her an inability to talk. Just takes time.
saw you on ny ink! amazing story(: sooo happy for you(: glad you get to hear now great thing for you in your life congrads and nice tattoo its pretty it stands for you(:
Saw you getting a tattoo on Ami’s show and looked up your video about you hearing for the first time. To see the joy you experienced when hearing things for the first time brought tears to my eyes. I’m extremely happy for you, your husband and your girls. CONGRATS!
to all the negative responses how does she understand english i assume she can read there4 she can comprehend and so im sure she could learn all about beeps and anything else very heartwarming thankyou 4 sharing this....p.s. my son has bilateral implants
How do you know what a "beep" sounds like if you have never heard a "beep" and your human mind has no concept of what a "beep" even is? It would be like you or I accurately naming some other worldly sixth sense stimuli after being exposed to it for the first time.
You're totally right! Someone can't read or be told about something and have some clue to what it is before they experience it! THAT WOULD BE ABSURD! YOU ARE SO SMART! YOU KNOW EVERYTHING!
@TheLoonster333 Use sign language to describe Beethoven's Pastoral in detail to a deaf person. Take an hour. Take a month. The deaf person wouldn't be able to pick out the song from any other song without a basis of comparison. Please stick to commenting on Star Wars nerd videos. It is perhaps the one field you are eminently qualified to scream about in all caps.
god gave us a brain n the brains imagination and knowledge started science because god gave u something to b able 2 invent n create something.if the world was made out of nothing, what can u create from nothing? if energy existed then who created that source of energy? definitely not itself.so what do u believe? if u say the devil then u would be contradicting what u said above.its still a spiritual being.a evil being.but if thats ur belief so b it.something exist u can count on that.
@wackdude1 Apparently you weren't gifted with the power of proper spelling and grammar. You cannot credit an imaginary being for the power and wonder of science.
This is really beautiful, I'm glad she is so happy now.
This is totally amazing... I wonder how beautiful her life could be from now. And I can't believe that some people don't like this video. But there is always negative people in this world....it's sad! *smh*
@MrWhatisajuggalo She's real. Watch the video with 7 million views on the original channel.
There are tons of deaf people who learn how to speak by reading lips and feeling the vibrations on people's throats. Each word and sound makes a distinct vibration and these deaf people become pros at differentiating.
They're speech doesn't sound perfectly normal but at least they're very good at lip reading.
What I think the real story is. She probably lost here hearing at some point in her life and had a coclear implant (like Rush Limbaugh). That is the only way she would know what a "beep" was or could understand words or pronounce them as correctly as she does. Or, she was partially deaf. There is no way she was fully deaf. Sorry, I'm not buying it.

@DeathOphelia woah yeah I don't know what the person you are replying to said but still, be a better person and think about how YOU would feel if they did end it.
What is wrong with you people? You make it sounds as if deaf people are retarded or something. Of course she can read lips, and is able to understand. The only question in the video she answered without looking at the person was "Can you hear me" something she has been asked countless times in her life. Shame on you people.
i know some deaf people ok? and NO ONE could speak that correct like this girl. i never said shes retarded!! yeah she can read lips. but she was never here herself or anybody else. i even know a haldeaf girl, she cant hear good, but a bit, and she cant speakt that good too
Deaf people don't talk normal like this, im pretty sure this is either fake or she wasnt 100% deaf. Either way it really does remind you of the things we take for granted.

is "impossible" that a deaf person can answer without looking, but I still hope they have created an audio device for the deaf really :)
