  • sick make up thats cool for the videos

  • Ignore this card because 7d is not only for video it's for photo too I recommend getting 400x or higher to enjoy burst 8fps why to take risk for couple dollars since udma cf card is life time investment

  • Ignore this card

  • Hi there. You should be the best person to ask this, as i cant seem to find an answer to a problem on my 7d. I was wondering whether is there somethign faulty with my 7d or is it my compact flash card. After taking a picture, when viewing back, certain pictures seem to display a message saying "cannot playback image". I tried looking up on it, but no one seem to have a proper answer for it. Please advice. Thanks

  • @mervynn Hi I am having the same problem. Please let me know if your question has been answered.

  • Using 32GB Transcend cards in my 7D and no problem so far even if there was these are electronic components. No one brand/manufacture can give 100% reliability so why pay for specs that is obviously overkill.

  • Thank! Im driving to Frys now to get the Card.. Question, Is the Centron 32gig 233x rated card fully compatible with the Canon 7D?

  • do you think that the card will work well with 550d/rebel t2i camera as well?

  • Thanks for all the videos and your web site. Very helpful info.

Regarding this video, I wanted to mention that the Transcend CF works perfectly with 7D, is 400x, and the 32 GB sells for the same as the Centron on Amazon ( the Centron 16x however, is a bit cheaper than the Transcend). Keep up the good work! I've learned a lot from you.

  • I use the Wintec S 32gb 60/r 25/w pretty good value...that's with the 5d though...as far as i know the 7d still doesn't' use 32 gig cards :/ But yeah for the speed and size compared to other brands its a lot cheaper and fast enough to use in photography too for burst shooting.

  • @flamespear86

"as far as i know the 7d still doesn't' use 32 gig cards"

    This is wrong

  • @TheAE35Unit I hope you're right and they did a firmware update because it was pretty sorry that it didn't initially support that size.

  • @JohnnyHollow Keep your mouth shut you amateur, you've obviously never shot in the field. Live shooting is completely different than staged shooting and 2-3 seconds is an eternity when you're on the go. By the time it passes, you've missed your shot or only got the tail end of it, all because you're using a shitty card that saved you 50 bucks.

Now, get out of here with your trolling, fool. Don't make youtube any shittier than it is.

  • @JohnnyHollow Relax. This is actually an important detail to know. There are some things on this planet that you want to take a picture of that won't sit still for 3 seconds. Hard to believe but true. And the professionals and amateurs who care about performance appreciate tips like this.

  • nice youtube name

  • Sorry if I sound stupid for asking this but I am a bit new to all this... but for the Canon 550D aka Canon Rebel T2i digital camera do you recommend ‏this Centon card as well when shooting HD?

  • Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I am a mother attempting to gather equipment for my budding 16 year old filmmaker and your information has been invaluable and I'm so grateful!!!

  • i like your video for most information but when you saing 7d make same video quality as 5d thats meen full frame isnt worth i got only 5d and for the size of sensor i will never go for 7d couse of quality deep of field in full frame so something is not right what you saing ,or you are amator

  • You can get these cards on Amazon. They also sell the 32gb cards.

  • great post again thanks

i bought a kingston in thailand i used it once and it bombed on me the second time with a ''cant read card ''message on the screan.

san disk no problem yet and pretty fast to.

just wanted to know about video editing suite's.

i cannot play my 7D vids on the usual multimedia soft ware on my pc.

what should i spend my money on ?

  • Wow, wish I would of watched this video sooner. I just blew almost $200 on a Sandisc card

  • CompUSA and TigerDirect have the Patriot PSF32G266CF - 32 GB/266x and 40mps read for under $100.

  • It might be worth noting that slower cards take longer to wake from a cold start.

I own a 16GB 60Mbs Sandisk Extreme and I kinda had buyers remorse (at the time I too, didn't see a point in the super fast write speed) but then I tried the Kingston 32GB 133x and was appalled with the start up time.

The Sandisk is immediately ready to shoot when it turns on, where the Kingston takes about 2~3 seconds before the camera is functional.

Just a note for anyone who cares about Run and Gun shooting

  • common sense would leave one to believe that he has a kick ass birth mark

  • Good to know.

We're using 2 x 32GB Kingston Elite Pro's, which are only 133x. Stu Maschwitz has recommend the Kingstons as well.

  • how do you think they will work for an Olympus e-410?

and if you dont mind me asking whats with your face? no offense but yah...

  • ^ dick move.

  • thank you? i guess

  • I'm currently running four kingston pros in which I got two for about 30£, I've not had an issue with using them on the 7D also they're extremely fast cards.

    I would recommend them.
