Ignore this card because 7d is not only for video it's for photo too I recommend getting 400x or higher to enjoy burst 8fps why to take risk for couple dollars since udma cf card is life time investment
Hi there. You should be the best person to ask this, as i cant seem to find an answer to a problem on my 7d. I was wondering whether is there somethign faulty with my 7d or is it my compact flash card. After taking a picture, when viewing back, certain pictures seem to display a message saying "cannot playback image". I tried looking up on it, but no one seem to have a proper answer for it. Please advice. Thanks
Using 32GB Transcend cards in my 7D and no problem so far even if there was these are electronic components. No one brand/manufacture can give 100% reliability so why pay for specs that is obviously overkill.
Thanks for all the videos and your web site. Very helpful info.
Regarding this video, I wanted to mention that the Transcend CF works perfectly with 7D, is 400x, and the 32 GB sells for the same as the Centron on Amazon ( the Centron 16x however, is a bit cheaper than the Transcend). Keep up the good work! I've learned a lot from you.
I use the Wintec S 32gb 60/r 25/w pretty good value...that's with the 5d though...as far as i know the 7d still doesn't' use 32 gig cards :/ But yeah for the speed and size compared to other brands its a lot cheaper and fast enough to use in photography too for burst shooting.
@JohnnyHollow Keep your mouth shut you amateur, you've obviously never shot in the field. Live shooting is completely different than staged shooting and 2-3 seconds is an eternity when you're on the go. By the time it passes, you've missed your shot or only got the tail end of it, all because you're using a shitty card that saved you 50 bucks.
Now, get out of here with your trolling, fool. Don't make youtube any shittier than it is.
@JohnnyHollow Relax. This is actually an important detail to know. There are some things on this planet that you want to take a picture of that won't sit still for 3 seconds. Hard to believe but true. And the professionals and amateurs who care about performance appreciate tips like this.
Sorry if I sound stupid for asking this but I am a bit new to all this... but for the Canon 550D aka Canon Rebel T2i digital camera do you recommend this Centon card as well when shooting HD?
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I am a mother attempting to gather equipment for my budding 16 year old filmmaker and your information has been invaluable and I'm so grateful!!!
i like your video for most information but when you saing 7d make same video quality as 5d thats meen full frame isnt worth i got only 5d and for the size of sensor i will never go for 7d couse of quality deep of field in full frame so something is not right what you saing ,or you are amator
It might be worth noting that slower cards take longer to wake from a cold start.
I own a 16GB 60Mbs Sandisk Extreme and I kinda had buyers remorse (at the time I too, didn't see a point in the super fast write speed) but then I tried the Kingston 32GB 133x and was appalled with the start up time.
The Sandisk is immediately ready to shoot when it turns on, where the Kingston takes about 2~3 seconds before the camera is functional.
Just a note for anyone who cares about Run and Gun shooting
I'm currently running four kingston pros in which I got two for about 30£, I've not had an issue with using them on the 7D also they're extremely fast cards.
sick make up thats cool for the videos

@TheAE35Unit I hope you're right and they did a firmware update because it was pretty sorry that it didn't initially support that size.
