The singer is the person everyone recognizes for the most part, be it indie, major labels or otherwise. The only time people recognize anyone else is if they stand out in a particular way. However if you're like me and you like music well enough, you'll take the time out to find out the others who put in all of the work as well, and find more of their stuff.

@heatherrrsw That is such a typical response from a mainstream music consumer (note I say consumer rather than fan), someone who knows nothing about music and thinks its all about the vocalist. Don't get me wrong, I think Pip is purely amazing, but it takes more than one person to make a track like this and Dans beats on their albums are amazing and take an equal, if not higher level of talent to produce than the lyrics/vocals

As a muscian and a producer I get fed up with people not getting the recognition they deserve. Hardly any producers in mainstream music get any recognition.

@heatherrrsw All the vocalists on my tracks are noted as "featuring" and thats usually because I spend about 2 months working on the music, tweeking each individual snare hit etc then the vocalist spends one afternoon doing their bit, then I spend another week or so editing, micing and enharncing their takes. Althoughj I cant confirm, I would expect the same applies to Yila, so maximum respect to him.
