i love the chin, its different. but if they actually did yellow and blue ones in the uk id have a difficult choice between the two. they both look gorgeous.
What reason is that? I also find it silly that they have a big gaudy 'chin' on the phone. It makes the whole thing look very dated.
Also, what is with the need for it to be so thick? You'd think that with the iPhone being around so long that other manufacturers would have cottoned on to the fact that people love thin.

It's not elegant I agree but I have a G1 which has a chin as well - it's more ergonomical that way. :)

to me it kinda ruined the phone but the G1 chin was not as bad as the hero's.

I wish they would remove that "chin" at the bottom of the phone. Ruins the whole design for me.
