whitney was the last great original soul singer she came inbetween real singing and pop singing. You had aretha and gladys tina and chaka khan and then whitney then came all the copy cats until maybe lauryn hill there hasnt really been a great singer and interpreter since. Beyonce and xtina are nice singers but they are ultimately popstars.

@WHITESLICK10 For Celine it is understandable( they both started in the early mid 80's and the both have truly unique voices and powerhouse vocals). For the two others, even if Xtina have a very powerful and warm voice and great vibrato, her voice lacks balance between soft and power, she does not even come close. Beyonce better be compared to Aaliyah or Chanice Williams or that type of singers vocally. She does not even deserve to be compared to WH vocally.

and btw, Beyonce's vibrato is not forced. As someone who's been studying vocal technique for 15 years, I can say Beyonce has perfect controlled vibrato, and she has such technical control over it she can change its weight and speed at will.
