absolutely. well thats why they stopped producing this campaign, cause its core message was Vista and how bad it was, which was totally true. But Windows 7 is another story, it is an amazing operative system: quick, stable and it has an awesome interface. Better than mac OS snow leopard. And notice that myself I own a mac, but I really hope the guys in Mac will be able to make smthing good as Windows 7 or even better with the OS Lion that is coming soon.

If you're a less-than-sensitive, aesthetically challenged lumbering clod, then 7 is a poetic achievement... 27 years of working on both, plus Linux on both, even worked on Job's old failed NeXT machine, which was awesome, (like Betamax kicked VHS' ass but disappeared). @elel70 Are you serious? If the manufacturer of your 7or XP system is a total saint and doesn't cut corners with crappy components then you are one of the lucky few. Most Windows machines are made with inferior parts and the OS suffers for it, no matter how perfect the OS may actually be. Quality control at Apple at least means you are getting reliable, consistent parts. That's why apple switched to Intel processors, more consistent quality. PC has flashy, clever cases with lights. That's nice.

I have probably used macs for 200 - 300 hours in total and I can say from that time that they are bloody terrible, and for digital editing they are slow and inferior to pcs. This allows multiple graphics cards, multiple processors, and liquid cooling for overclocking your FSB. Show me a Mac that has any of that.

I have a custom gaming rig at home, for... gaming. No shit macs aren't for gaming. But for a student, it's pretty fucking useful. I can have it running in all my classes without bringing a charger... and still have a few hours left over.

I've used both Mac and Windows PC for several years. I never spent a dime on the Mac after the purchase. I'm sure the PC ended up costing more from having it serviced than the original sales price, plus it was in the shop every other month getting fixed or upgraded. Both computers ran the same exact software except the mac also did video. From my experience Macs are not anymore expensive in the long run, and they are way more reliable and easy to use. More money up front is worth no headaches.

@ditaparlo5 Nice opinion bro. I have had had to use macs quite a bit in the last couple of years [mainly at school] and for some subjects have used them for the whole year. I have probably used macs for 200 - 300 hours in total and I can say from that time that they are bloody terrible, and for digital editing they are slow and inferior to pcs. And god they have so many problems and are a shit over a network. Experience has given me reason for hate of macs, never again make me use one, please.

@lin2log Also, an iPad is not a Mac; an iPhone is not a Mac. It's an Apple product. Is the Microsoft Zune a PC? No. A Mac is a line of laptops and desktops (i.e. Mac book, iMac) designed by Apple; it stands for Macintosh. It's also what they call their OS (i.e., Mac OSX 10.4.1; etc). If you're so confident Mac is better than PC, find me the best iMac or Macbook you can; and I promise I can make it look like a 1999 Gameboy.

@lin2log You're missing the point, entirely. A PC is customizable, a Mac is not. That is the sole reason PC > Mac. Let's say you toss $2,000 at the top of the line Apple computer, that's all you can do. Then, let's say you buy a PC case, and put $2,000 into custom parts; these parts are a lot cheaper when purchased separately. This allows multiple graphics cards, multiple processors, and liquid cooling for overclocking your FSB. Show me a Mac that has any of that.

If Mac had a windows-like interface and a normal mouse, I would switch in a heartbeat. I can't say I've looked into them in a few years, so maybe it's already been done, but that were the only setbacks in my mind.... well that and I used to be a gamer.

I use both platforms. Macbook Pro for school, for it's long ass battery life. You aren't gonna find a laptop with similar specs come near it's battery life. Only a shit netbook can.
I have a custom gaming rig at home, for... gaming. No shit macs aren't for gaming. But for a student, it's pretty fucking useful. I can have it running in all my classes without bringing a charger... and still have a few hours left over.

The argument lies solely on the fact that you cannot upgrade internal hardware on a Mac, to the extent you can on a PC. There is no argument comparing one graphics card to two, there's no argument comparing 3,000 GBs to 1,000GB of HD space. I don't know why anyone would think 1,000GB is better than 3,000GB, or if 3.0 GhZ dual core CPU is better than a Phenom X-II quad-core, or an i7 core for that matter. Can you even overclock your FSB on a Mac? No, BI/OS doesn't allow you.

Steam JUST came out for Macs, and most games still can't run on macs, like call of duty and battlefield. And pc gaming in my opinion is a lot better than console gaming, so that's out of the question. If you want to game, there's no denying it, Pc's can do everything macs do and much much more. Also, macs aren't truly virus free, only immune to the viruses Pc's get. So I can technically say Pc's don't get Viruses, they just don't get viruses made for macs. Mac commercials just bash Pc's

@Beshimi macs are simple, but in order for that to be possible they have to be advanced at the same time. and there is no way apple is behind in the home computing market, they've been around for a shorter time than windows, but they still have a more reliable os, hardware, and better applications. i use both windows and mac and i see every reason why mac is better everytime i switch between them, and the only reason why i even bother using both is because i share computers with my roomate

If Mac is so good, why does Apple run their website off Linux Redhat? Macintosh is not good for video editing, all Apple does is slap a lowercase i in the front of a mediocre program that comes with the computer, and fanboys go wild. Don't even say their hardware is superior, I assure you, it is not. With Mac, you get a production clone that offers no room for customization. I'm sorry, but dual 1G dedicated nVidia 8800s on a PC is far better than Mac will ever have to offer. Case and point.

I've used both Mac and Windows PC for several years. I never spent a dime on the Mac after the purchase. I'm sure the PC ended up costing more from having it serviced than the original sales price, plus it was in the shop every other month getting fixed or upgraded. Both computers ran the same exact software except the mac also did video. From my experience Macs are not anymore expensive in the long run, and they are way more reliable and easy to use. More money up front is worth no headaches.
