I still think Evangelical Churches are disturbing. I'm Agnostic, but I went to a Christian school for a year and there was a lot of hate along with love. I was rejected by many peers, and someone even spat peppermints into my locker! I always say, you're not a real Christian if you don't accept people who are different. My Aspergers syndrome symptoms caused peers' hatred of being around me. That and my own thoughts about religion.

@tmh726 Evangelicals are the worst because they read the bible as the literal word of god. They don't even take into account different translations which use different words, and hence give a different meaning to different passages. The bible can only be read as an allegorical representation of history. E.G. The story of Noah is derived from the epic of Gilgamesh. This being said, I believe there was not necessarily a flood, but at least a severe storm which inspired the story.

It's all bullshit really, no person who wields so much power should be really wholly trusted, you never know what goes on in the minds of people. So many preachers have been exposed as the hypocrites they are and yet Christians, cannot wait to get another opportunity to reward their full trust to the next one who comes along. We all have to compromise and go with some basic trust every day, like trusting our cab driver, etc. but putting your whole life there on a platter, that's just stupid.
