its definitally the navy testing a bomb on the ocean flow. most likely a relatively shallow area in the ocean. there isnt a need for artillery guns on a boat to watch a volcano. You cannot EXACTLY calculate when a volcano will erupt because you do not know the pressure inside the volcano or the pressure capacity of the lid. you can, however, know when the times on a bomb will go off.
