  • Oh!! La Belle Epoque

  • mbilia bel, est ce tu feras encore des belles chansons comme NAIROBI, SANS FRONTIERE, MAYAVAL, YAMBA NGAI, FAUX PAS, BEYANGA,...? à suivre.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG, I LOVE AFRICA AND I LOVE AFRICANS. WOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @ jmnyagah are you Kenyan? I know Nairobi and I am not sure what city or in what country it is but one thing is for sure these pics ain't Nairobi! lol!

If you are Kenayn then you must have left Kenya ages ago.

  • Wow.. reminds me of home so much...beautiful AFRICAN talent

  • HArambee actually means come together for a common cause it was first used by the fist Kenyan government to bring people together to fund raise for public initiatives today the word generally is considered to means fund raise in Swaihili! As for Moi and his Kanu regime lest just say Kenyans prefer not to talk about the bad and remember the good

  • i love this song especially when Ameleena from kenya sung it at the Tusker project fame 4 competition.....it was fabulous;;;

  • Definetely a great voice and whatever she says about my motherland, Kenya. I greatly miss Nairobi, the city in the sun. But the pictures, honestly not Kenyan towns.

  • nayoki nzambe motindo ya pasi ba niokoli yo oh

yaka pembeni na zali se wayo ya motema

nice song mbilia bel ba tika yo i love congooo

  • J'aimerais beaucoup avoir les paroles en lingala!

  • the city in the slide show is definitely not nairobi, mombasa, nakuru or kisumu as the lyrics point out these cities. that said, i beg to differ that life during moi's tenure life was sweet. may be for a select few but not all.

  • @igobwaeverett

Moi was cool. His Kitchen Cabinet mislead him. though. Moi left the Presidential seat without any trouble. He handed over to the Incumbent peacefully. We were Afraid of Civil war in 2002. Moi was Humble and peace loving. The incumbent lost election to his rival and he refused to leave office. Kenya was in the brink of civil war in 2007; Koffi Anan saved the situation.

  • @igobwaeverett

this song is more than 20 yrs old. the slide show has got nothing to do with the original.i guess we can blame thechnology for that not the artiste. im from the congo( zaire), i know what im talking about.

  • J'ai des larmes en écoutant cette chanson. Aussi voudrais-je la dédier à ma chère Etoile, Nestorine, qui partage 29 ans de vie commune avec moi. Que Dieu la protège et bénisse notre union..

  • at the height of president moi's dictatorship funny enough life was the sweetest

  • @rengwa same thing in Malawi-looking back!

  • @rengwa

Point of correction: Moi was not a dictator. Were it not that his cronies were corrupt he led us through tough times. Kibaki is worse. I'll never vote again.

And Mbilia Bel has a voice that is beautiful. And the sentiment of this song is would melt the hardest heart.
