i think they were too afraid of ruby ´s popularity and being a good demon and witchcraft and being a good hunter and decide to change everything.The roockie mistake was put a very diferent person as ruby, i prefer the Katie Cassidy version, I like too the Genevieve Cortese, Cassidy act was better

Katie Cassidy was way too brittle as Ruby. She was definitely a demon! But Genevieve Cortese's Ruby was more subtle and more insidious, the better to trick Sam! I thought Ruby was a pretty neat character. What a shame she was killed off.

Personally, I loved Katie Cassidy as Ruby. I wish they would have found some way to keep her. Genevieve is a good actress, but I just think that Ruby completely switched in season 4, and I actually liked her in season 3. I know she's actually evil and tricked Sam, and all that, but I don't know. There was just something so likable about Katie's Ruby. With Genevieve, I kind of knew that something was wrong. It was obvious with her.

huge supernatural fan. i love this scene and i like both rubys. i think each one represents a diferent stage of the character. the 2nd ruby is darker, more persuasive, more evil. i think her acting his good and they did a nice work choosing her (a brunette actress), to play ruby on season 4´, to look more obscure. never would repleace katie cassidy in the previous seasons, though. do you agree with me. like this video if you love it like i do,
