In April of 2010 I was diagnosed with YOPD at the age of 33. I am thankful for your video and openess about PD. Many times I thought I was the only one whos family didn't realize the impact of this awful disease. I am choked up and VERY thankful to here your stories, for it lets me know that I am not alone in trying to get my family to understand.. My 17 year old Daughter has Juvenile Huntingtons Disease.This is also a degenerative terminal illness.You can see her pics on my channel.They just need to cure one of these degenerative disease and I believe the rest will follow!!Never give up hope xx
You know... There are so many things you ladies have said that I have seen in myself ESP. the last year. I have even had friends and family make comments that within the last six months that they have noticed and INCREASED decline in my speech. I hae always been very articulate and I am writer, and now it seems like I can't speak. But I am only 26!
Thank you for posting this. I favorited it. I can relate a LOT. I don't know if I have Parkinson's or not but I am going to the neurologist soon to find out.
Excellent. Was diagnosed 14 years ago at age 46. Positive attitude is important. My late wife had trouble accepting my illness the first year. After that we became great advocates. We helped obtain increased funding by working with others to get the Udall Act passed. Also, we lobbied New York State Senators to obtain funding for embryonic stem cell research in New York. My wife was a great care partner. I lost her to Lou Gehrig's Diseasein March of last year, but my attitude remains positive
