  • @hertzman5 Now if I had a huge Super Computer, I would try to use Tesla, Quadro, GeForce, Radeon, AND FirePro at the same time. The experiment might fail, but it might not.

  • Dear Santa,

  • But will it play Crysis???

  • Comment removed

  • When will you guys start making Personal Supercomputers that are as energy effecient and inexpensive as your average laptop?

  • @Amaroqdricaldari they already dropped from $4000 to $2000 in only a couple of years. these things are the real deal.

  • @Amaroqdricaldari in a few years

  • When will tools be available that creates GPGPU code from regular code that you want to run many times in parallel? For instance, suppose you have code that calculates the square root of a number. In CUDA you can calculate 8000 or so square roots simultaneously, but you have to structure it yourself. Is there a tool that takes your single threaded code and turns it into parallel CUDA code?

  • @cdoftx Nvidia recently made a piece of software that can help. It is pretty expensive, though. It only works with C++ and Fortran, but what it does is you insert snippets of code inside your program's code, and it will automatically make CUDA do most of the work.

  • @Amaroqdricaldari What's it called?

  • @cdoftx I believe it is called OpenAAC directives or something like that.

  • 1.37 they still have bad cable management.

  • why need to waste 10k, when everything always has something new to come...?

  • @GenesisCruzerNeo Actually, there are 2 current models... C2050 with 3GB VRAM for $2,000, & C2070 with 6GB VRAM for $2,500...

  • They´re just getting ready to play battlefield 3

  • HAHA Will it blend ? That is the question ahahha nice coment right there :D !!!!!!!!!!

  • I just want it to game and run sony vegas on full quality settings :P

  • but will it play Crysis on full?

  • Woah, and here I was thinking I was going to pick one up this holiday season. 10k?

  • But, Will it blend ?

  • can this run minecraft on fancy?

  • @stickmansam423 Nothing can do that!

  • @stickmansam423 Actually yes, it can! You can run minecraft for linux on fancy!

  • it got blue screens and i can't play minesweeper

  • Now to make a cluster out of them :D

  • Fuck yeah, I'm gonna get one, to run ma ArchLinux! :B

  • you may have to update the drivers, but i believe it will play pong.

    on medium settings.

  • But Will it play Minecraft ?

  • 1:19 .

    noob; it's an xbox!

  • And then when you need to use double precision you get an 8th of the performance...

  • Wow... you can program in C language..... That's SUPER!

  • I wonder how high your power bill would be on the tesla

  • everyone needs to go to the will it blend youtube channel and tell them to blend a tesla card

  • @yakfizzle i would cry because i cant afford the card of the blender lol.

  • Sooooo, will it play minecraft?

  • lol my friends on starcraft 2 will flip when they hear i have 960 cores

  • no discount! 25% or 10% cheap

  • Wdf 960 core!!!!!!

  • gg tesla? what about 2 new gtx 590? its got 1024 cores for under 1500$ whats wrong with that picture?

  • @MrSnowmobiling This is 2008, the GTX 590 wasn't in production yet.

  • @MrSnowmobiling the 590 cant run Crysis at 300 FPS though. Just sayin that it has 4 Cudas SLI'd and you're just talking about the GPU. This is a cluster in a PC form.

  • Are they paying Tesla to use his name?

  • @KingGoddard Yeah they shoved in a check inside his grave.

  • @IJustOwnz Relatives ... are you really that stupid?

  • @rezn66 yes my friend you can finally get rid of your mac JKIN lol

  • Does this mean I can finally run Flash?

  • PC, Laptop, now PSC?

  • @ThePencil901 Personal Superclock.

  • @IJustOwnz no, personal supercomputer

  • @ThePencil901 I know i was kidding

  • Does it play cassette tapes?

  • my celeron beats that shit, nuffsaid.

  • Make a cluster of those personal supercomputers and kick but!

  • I bought this computer. It exploded on startup

  • But can it play Minecraft?

  • i tried this on "battle city" and it works well....:D

  • 1:27 WTF

  • It's been confirmed. No, it cannot play Crysis.

  • would you like to play a game?

  • Pffffff baby computing get real pos is out dated....

  • yes but will it blend?

  • ATi dominates

  • super computer va lasam sa muriti de foame

  • fark off and go and essen einen schwanz nvidia u rip off merchants. And i agree with old m8 up top >> any pc is a super pc with out windblows running it :).

  • @nems79au Any PC without Windows is not a gaming PC. Most high end PC's are used for gaming.

  • @SoundwaveRomania You underestimate the number of users that have digital audio or video workstations. I have a seperate pc with higer specs than the game one for 3D content, and it is not my work.

  • But can it run Crysis??

  • @wwyk1993 uhhh

  • @colinprprpr I keed =P That's my question to every YouTube videos showcasing a certain product =P

  • @wwyk1993 =D

  • Bet it still cant run Crysis 2 so...

  • "you mean there was one?"

  • Lol it was useing windows XP probably Windows Xp 837495387469387452039740324976034875203875304876038476bit Edition

  • Im a pc, and windows was definately NOT my idear.

  • Yay Folding@Home

  • Skipped to quick to 0:32.

    Thought it was a microwave.

  • What is the different between Tesla and Quadro? Ain't they both kind of workstation stuff for professionals?

  • lovely, how much would I spend to have personal supercomputer ?

  • 1:22 lol my mouse!

  • they know why peole are really going to buy it ... TO PLAY GAMES!!!!!!!!1

  • @datafreak667

they're gunna be disappointed when they get it home and realise that it doesnt output video. its a calculating machine for data not a dedicated graphics card. These are useless for gaming but incredible for number crunching

  • How in the world does it cool down?

  • super computing good for games.

  • Well 10k for a shitty sli system that only has 4 teraflops LOL a SINGLE 5970 can get 5 teraflops for uder 600 bucks Nvidia SUCKS!!

  • @GenuineMW2

you have a modern warfare 2 reference in your name and expect people to listen to you talk about supercomputing?

There is every difference in the world between the tesla cards and ordinary graphics cards (eg. 5970's). These are purely number crunching devices not graphics cards in the normal sense.

    "Nvidia SUCKS!!"?

Nvidia has spent millions developing a system that your hospital might use to save lives. Fanboys have no place in real society where technology has a real use.

  • @jamesstone123 GPU's crunch numbers to produce a graphics output.Ever heard of folding@home it uses ati and nvidia's GPU's to help cure diseases etc. "protein modules".you fail and mw2 is a geat game

  • @GenuineMW2

folding@home and indeed any distributed computing network like SETA work in the same way. GPU's are designed to output video signals by crunching numbers but can also be used just for crunching numbers.

Tesla CAN'T be used to output video but CAN be used to crunch numbers.

Proteins come in chains not modules and my main concern with your writing was your fanboy attitude towards ATI. ATI cards are a folder's nightmare anyway with the 5 series cards being incompatable

  • @jamesstone123 GPU3 is coming out in 3-4 weeks that will use 100% of the 5xxx-6xxx series.PWNED

  • @GenuineMW2

the very fact that GPU3 didnt support the latest ATI cards at launch shows that they clearly weren't intended to be used in such a way. No way would ATI comfortably watch Nvidia take all of the card sales for folding if they could solve it so easily.

Nvidia cards, whether you're a fanboy of ATI or Nvidia, have always had better drivers and support. I've owned both cards in the past. I only sold my HD5850 because the drivers made it less cost effective than a GTX460

  • @jamesstone123 The reason is because nvidia pays developers ATI dosent......ATI dosent care because their sales are 25% more than nvidia's in a good quarter.

  • @GenuineMW2

thats because ATI cards are marketed (almost) excusively to gamers whereas nvidia concentrate on the gaming and industrial markets equally.

I'm not saying either company is better but for folding/industrial use nvidia cards are generally better performers. Besides, if AMD spent as much time developing new ideas as nvidia or intel they would make far bigger profits. AMD are still using the outdated K10 architechture. Fusion should push them up top though, its far faster than atom

  • ar trebui sa va lasam sa muriti de foame

  • had one, they suck for everything but cuda. seriously. you cannot code on them, you cannot use them for anything other than purely scientific. dont act as if this is a personal computer, or anything derivative PERIOD. it takes MASSIVE amounts of coding to make aNYTHING of this caliber to work... so GET OVER IT. no offense, but buying even ONE TESLA is a waste of money. period.

  • HA! your $12,000 mac, is no match to my $9,995 3.7 teraflop pc.

  • @djAMPxp18 mine is. i push 5, and i dont have 4 tesla's my entire cost was about 5 grand. herpa derrrp?

  • Who said anything about Mac or Apple? ...I was talking about windows. I don't even own a Mac, haven't used one in 10 years...that said, windows has caused me more problems and downtime than any other software I have ever used. All I'm saying is install windows on that there Tesla Superomputer and you'll wind up with a big expensive pile o technolojunk.

  • @supatones what a moron. listen, i dont mean to insult you, but every piece of software has bugs. considering how long windows has been around vs other os's, you'd think someone as supposedly smart as you would have known even 20 years ago (yes thats right 1991) that x86 architecture was NEVER the way to go for super computing. tesla is a total wipe. and you know it, regardless of windows, the tesla has no place in societal computing at all.

either build a pc or a spc

    not a hybrid. DURRRR

  • @williamkendrick what a biatch, Listen, have another drink and change your flippin tampon why don't ya?

  • IT'S OVER $9000

  • pfft... it crashed whenever I tried to play pacman.

  • @TechnoStickmen seriously?

  • thats the nerd way to compensate a small dick

  • @Lesson333 lol good one....NOT...

    jelous much. :)

  • Dear Santa...

  • apple alrighty made it. LOL.

  • Multithreading beast!

  • lol why dont these dumbass's put like 1,000 of these into a cluster and it would be faster than japans dumbass supercomputer cluster.

  • @ohsnapmyballs one answer. money.

  • @ohsnapmyballs

I think we have a winner for the ignorant Americunt contest!

  • Can it run Crysis?

  • @gneiman8 It's optimised for different tasks than Gaming.

  • 960 cores!!!!

  • Zomg, I would buy one of these for gaming if I had 10k to throw around. Or if they turned around for 15 seconds, I'd buy it for free ;).

  • i went to newegg, and i've built a super computer 4 times faster than that one, with 7 GTX 480, 2 Xeons and 24GB of ram and it cost me $8300 so... yeah... should this add be for ppl without tec knowledge ?

  • @azt3c You're a fucking idiot. That is all.

  • @ViennaMoose: just because ? or do you have anything to add to my comment ? if you are going to insult someone at least say why m8, there is no reason to insult someone cos of their opinion... i'm just saying it is cheaper to build it from scratch, than buying it from nvidia.

  • @azt3c Gaming computers do gaming, and Tesla's do work. They are entirely different computations. Plus, you can't do 7 way SLI with GTX 480's. Plus, GTX 580's just came out about a month ago.

  • @ViennaMoose, you can do work and game with any nvidia CUDA card from serie 8xxx to the new serie 5xx, and why you cant do 7 way sli with 7 GTX480 ? or 580 ?? what nvidia did is put a label on a 480 card and a new bios and they call it Tesla... big deal... plus they say that any cuda supporting card can do work, same thing goes for a folding farm...

  • @azt3c I cannot describe the amount of stupidity in your comment.

  • @ViennaMoose again m8, if you are going to say ANYTHING, make a comment, don't act like you are too good to answer... all those scientific apps run under cuda right ? and all nvidia cards from serie 8xxx and up can run cuda app, right ? so why do i have to buy a tesla card that its more expensive than a regular 4xx or 5xx ?

why are talking about parallel processing, not real time enhance graphics for 3d software like Quadros...

  • @azt3c Remember that the 480's/580's have relatively crippled chips for computing, infact their double precision capability is only 25% of their design. The Tesla might be a better option if your doing straight computing, as it is optomized for that.

  • @ViennaMoose ok, how do you know that they are "relatively crippled chips for computing" ? need hard facts...

i don't see nvidia making a new chip specially for computing, i see the same core with different firmware, like they always do...

  • @azt3c The facts are widely available on the internet. Look them up yourself, I'm done with you.

  • @ViennaMoose Next time, do not start an argument without wanting to end it... just keep your ego deep in your asshole...

  • @supatones

EVERYBODY IGNORE THE ELITE MAC FANBOY...

  • @supatones fuck mac

  • @supatones such a stupid comment

  • @supatones Are you crazy?

  • @supatones every person running mac is an ignorant person who wont embrace freeware and customiziability

  • @VikingsChannel2 Did I say mac?

  • @supatones fail, why do all super computers use windows then? as well, what OS do they use in the LHC? windows!, also, lets see you run OSX or linux on this thing, while still utilizing all your hardware. not possible.

  • @supatones

super computers are usually Linux or Windows...

  • @BucketOfNouns nah, their all linux. sux 2 be windows these days

  • @supatones Please, running the train wreck that is Mac OS X would be worse that hammering nails through your dick...

  • spider solider crashes on it

  • Comment removed

  • How well will this run SETI@HOME or BOINC which does take advantage of the CUDA feature? Or for fractal exploration, and animations?

  • But can it run Crysis?

  • The phrase "personal supercomputer" just doesn't sound right.

  • i noticed they were running linux when they were discussing programming it, which i like (since i'm an extensive linux user) but it doesn't really make sense since there are very little cuda based programs for linux. i have the cuda drivers but no programs for it at all

  • What about animation??

  • Excellent, but will it play pinball?

  • Comment removed

  • i need to know if this pc will play pong?

  • 0:40 - Oh right... as if Bill didn't have one. It was possible before.

  • just buy an alienware

  • can it play DOS pong?

  • mx518 1:17 (Y)

  • WOW, we're getting close to one Kiloquad of data storage!

  • Yay I hope it won't lag when I play farmville;)

  • Does it run DOS games?

  • wow... getting this PC..... i dont even have to check performace videos on CRYSIS ANYMOER!!!!

    asume.

  • I really need this for solitaire so it can deal the cards faster.

  • Can these supercomputers and tesla boards compatible with music software and video editing because we still have need more for multimedia work flow

  • @YARDMANMX Programs such as After Effects and some of Adobe programs can use the CUDA cores. It really comes down to the programmers to create programs that are compatible. Some of the more important tools being developed are render engines for 3D rendering so you can render your animations in a matter of hours and days instead of weeks and months.

  • Lol a fuicking supercomputer, with a 20" screen? LOL

  • Look nice to play crysis games.

  • tesla cards dont have output, so they'r not video cards wich you can run games on, they'r are cards for calculations, they use parallel processing of they cores to calculate faster than a CPU.

If you dont know what parallel processing is and want to find info, the mythbusters did a video explaining that. Just type on youtube ,, mythbusters parallel "

  • "up to 250 times faster than standard PCs"

Yeah but not doing "standard PC" tasks. It's not gonna play games 250 times faster. Maybe it'll do Folding@Home 250x faster with all it's GPUs.

  • IT'S OVER $90000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!1

  • blahblah, but can it play crysis?

  • What i heard. "blah blah, under 10,000 blah blah 960 cores.

  • 960 cores!?! :O

  • how much?

  • Man that'll really show my pr0n collection at its best.

  • how does it handle solitaire?

  • id buy it if i was rich

  • the HAL 9000 is better

  • @93BRJM yeah ive always wanted my computer to become self aware and plot to kill me

  • you all now its a super computer as long as its just graphic data pixels to procces when it comes to the hard stuff you do need an actual supercomputer

  • Crysis on DX10 Freeze....

  • But can it run Crysis?

  • you cant run gales on this, its made to go for computing speed, not get astonashing fps.

  • SC2 cant run it

  • digital clusterfucking?
