lol, you mean back then they actually tried to advertise a product within the show itself?????? that does make the argument that a tv show was made just to sell a product sound more reasonable...i wonder when tv could no longer advertise within the actual show itself..thankfully.

you guessed right!! What is interesting is that there are several other TCSCs out there in utube land,- and quite right too!

The Tom Corbett books were so much part of my (our?)adolesence and have left such a lasting impression. I think the effect and importance of adolescent sci fi is vastly underestimated. For instance many USA women who have gone have into science and technology site watching Star Trek as a major influence in them becoming scientists / technologists.

I never saw the TV programs or heard the radio, but I read 7 of the 8 books and they have always been a favourite of mine.
