i have a 55g tank and have a powerhead that pumps over 450 gph towards the top of the tank moving all the water around... i dont like slow/stagnant water on the top because crap just sits. so everything blows to the right. my DG tries to build a nest, then my African Butterfly Fish comes along and swims in the nest and the gourami just looks at him like "seriously? wtf" and swims off to pick on the ghost shrimp again.
@hemifatcat No, I haven't tried spawning him with a female as I don't have one. I haven't been actively looking for female DGs but I've never seen one in my area, not that I really have the resources to get into breeding. I'm also a bit hesitant to introduce more DGs for fear of introducing DG disease into the tank.
@hemifatcat mine did the same and i spawned him, but he then did not build the required nest while she was in the tank, and she died of a force abortion, lol
