OK, it's quite obvious based on comments that many of you are seeing/ hearinf her for the first time. She's doing a character here. It's not getting a lot of laughs, you're right. Only way for a comedian to know if something with potential is going to work is to try it with an audience.

Watching this "character" bores me. I think our comments are valid since we are essentially another audience watching her. It's constructive criticism. Some comics have an off night, maybe cause they have tough acts to follow, so imagine crying of laughter from like 2 comics in a row then watching someone that is really funny but cannot measure up to the ones before. You can't laugh even if you tried forcing it out.

I feel that as a comedian, you are also getting into character for any skit that you do.

A lot of Natasha's skits are basically her being a sardonic, high-maintenance, sophisticated woman who looks down on anyone who comes off as a basic idiot to her.

I think her skits are cute, though in our generation, the audience tends to laugh hysterically more often with crude humor more than they would with sophisticated humor like Natasha's.

i think some people laugh at crude stuff but i also see a lot of people laughing at stuff that comes from a place of frustration. then there are a few stand ups out there that are insanely brilliant and their act is very silly or almost absurd. a small group of people "get" that stuff too. that is the frontier i'd like to see really pushed. it's really about opening people's minds. her act turns some people off because it's hard to like this character. it's absurd but lacks vulnerability
