@SCOTTISHFILMFAN Its worth watching just for the ending. Don't get me wrong its not a twist or anything but it does kind of leave you there going 'oh...right...well...I didn't think it would end up like this.'
I saw one of the sequels, Ghost Galleon I think. Unfortunately it was on one of those Mill Creek 50 movies for 9 bucks deals so the transfer was...bare bones. Despite that, and what I expect is the law of exponentially poorer quality sequels, the undead Templars were fucking cool and made it all worth it. Ive been meaning to check this one out for some time now.
@strontiumcrypt I heard that some of the sequels don't feature the knights on horses which seems like the wrong way to go. Really their makeup and costume in this movie is amazing. Their hands are a bit rubbery in a couple of close ups but other than that they look like what I imagine undead templar knights would look like.
@CornOfTheDead Yeah I got it on E-Bay for exactly that much and I was a bit hesitant but turns out it was well worth it. Sucks being in Australia where we can't just pick these movies up off the shelf don't it?
@RainbowReelcinema My history with this film is unique. I saw perhaps 10 minutes on latenight television back in 1979, and was so scared I turned it off...then couldn't remember the name or anything...till about 1999, when I found a double-sided issue of this film and it's sequal for 5-dollars. I snatched it up (the cover made me remember what movie it was) even though I didn't own a DVD player...and wouldn't be ably to watch the movie till I finally had access to one two years later.
Ah yes, this is actually one of my favourite horror flicks. I have however only seen the first one, but I've heard some good words about one of the sequels, called "Night of the seagulls" or something along those lines.
Yeah, it is pretty slow, but I dont know, I did not really mind that to be honest.
@Worminfestedovaries Yeah I really liked this movie overall, it was just that weird zombie part that bogged it down for me. The zombie was just so lame compared to the undead templar knights. Plus the ending just made the film for me. Didn't see it coming, not that its a twist or anything but wasn't really where I saw the movie going. Awesome, just awesome. I think the movie you mentioned is the fourth. I'm definitely going to track them all down when I have spare money.
@RainbowReelcinema For some reason I actually thought that the zombie part was a nice little "twist" because I would never think that she would come back from the dead, but on the other hand I agree. She pales in comparsion to the undead templar knights.
Ah yes, I agree on the ending is well, I like how it ends on a pretty bleak note.
I heard that there is some kind of coffinshaped box containing all the four movies and I've seen it floating around on ebay a couple of times.
IS this film worth over 20 bucks Canadian

@Xeper1979 As long as its the foreign edit. The American edit is crap.

This looks like an awesome movie, I want it but I don't want to pay $17 for it in case I don't like it =(. Yeah I'm a cheap bastard sometimes =) lol.
