It's actually really normal to crave chalk when you're pregnant- it's your body needing more minerals- that which is found in chalk. Animals often lick rocks to get this sensation/nutrients. However, it's not the safest thing for you to consume, mainly because of the dust, dirt, bacteria that it can gather. The cleansing product, however, is extremely harmful.

When I was little I use to eat toilet paper. Not a lot but this habit broke when I ate a scented toilet paper, it made me feel sick and I stopped. I use to also swallow buttons and every now and then pennies. I even ate dirt, news paper, plastic bags, led, my scabs, dandruff..mmm..I think that's about it haha I'm not sure why I did it, but I'm happy to say I don't anymore.The only habit I have now is making my gums bleed. I scratch at them till it's sore and love the feeling... :\

dumpster diving isn't even that weird. you'd be surprised how much food grocery stores, people, etc throw out. my friend and her mom have found loaves of bread, barely ripened fruits, fresh vegetables, and even furniture. if you clean it thoroughly with soap and everything, it really isn't that bad.
