Eastern Orthodox have changed dramatically in the last 1700 years. They are much older than Roman Catholicism. Which only shows up with the first pope in the late fourth century.

For example, the introduction of Original Sin (Augustine), subsitutionary atonement (Anselm), and Merit Theology (Aquinas). Not to mention the direct defiance of the Council of Nicea by altering the creed to reflect dual procession of the Holy Spirit, which is the theological basis of the split from Eastern Orthodoxy!

Also as former Roman Catholic, before converting to Eastern Orthodoxy. I didn't know that both Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodoxy shared the same Early Church Fathers. Both share an unbroken chain, and that the Roman Catholic Church today is not close to the same Roman Catholic Church back then, and The Eastern Orthodox Church has not Changed. Look unto it, and see for yourself. The Pope broke off from his Brothers, lots of Pride it must have took to change the Church. Isn't Pride a sin?

I converted the the Roman Catholic Church, and was a member for 7 years. But I always known that the Eastern Orthodox Church also has always had an unbroken chain. In time I had to learn all about the brake back then, and had to convert to Eastern Orthodoxy. All Catholics need to look unto the real reasons for the brake up , and decide if you can still remain Catholic. Yes I know all about Peter and you are the rock thing, but today Orthodox priest still marry, just like Peter was married.

Eastern Orthodox have changed dramatically in the last 1700 years. They are much older than Roman Catholicism. Which only shows up with the first pope in the late fourth century.

For example, the introduction of Original Sin (Augustine), subsitutionary atonement (Anselm), and Merit Theology (Aquinas). Not to mention the direct defiance of the Council of Nicea by altering the creed to reflect dual procession of the Holy Spirit, which is the theological basis of the split from Eastern Orthodoxy!

It does give a clearer understanding on Teachings over time, but that is not 'altering'. Only Protestantism does that (as their 35,000+ churches gives witness to). What a disaster. Also, the Orthodox schism from the One True Faith in 1054 is due from a variety of factors. You need to THOROUGHLY study Church history my friend!

its not new to the roman catholic to find an issue regarding to the founder. wat u have done upon placing constantine on chirst part is a clear manifstation dat ur anti catholic. thus we can conclude dat ur one of the anti chist. christ founded the rcac., and constantine being the instrument constructed the building. he just gathered the ground people and the dynasty to follow the teachings of christ so as to become a member of the church which christ founded.

Constantine Legalized Christianity, he did not found a Church. Nowhere does any history say such a thing. History says otherwise. The writings of the Church Fathers are there for all to read. If that's the case where are the writings of the True Christians and where can we find them? Christ said He would be with His Church always and the Gates of Hades will not prevail against it. Was Christ a liar? This can't be......So, where is the history of the True Church? i want to read it. Peace Brother

if Christ DId founded a church, that chuch is infallible, for in Matthew 28:19-20 - I am with you always to the very end of the ages. so to whatever reasons you have and reference just to put stain in the catholic church in which christ founded, the church will remain firm and infallible for christ is with us. christ is with the church he founded.then at the end of the day we can be able to conclude ur an anti christ for u speak and continue dstroying the chuch in which christ founded.

@hamlets7 - You're sadly mistaken my friend. While I am largely Orthodox in outlook, it is untrue to say that the Apostle Peter never went to Rome. The Fathers of the Church record that he did. We should make sure that, in our zeal to correct error we don't fall into error ourselves. The error of the Roman church lies in supposing that the "first among equals" status of the Bishop of Rome is equal to infallibility or supremacy--notions that are untrue, and where all their other errors began.
