Both elm streets are awesome. I love both and think Jackie did an awesome job. Your allowed to like both movies and just cause Roberts not in this one doesn't make the whole movie bad. But if you really hate this movie find more than one reason other than "Roberts not in this" to hate the movie.

personally, i like the freddy look better in the old one, though i must admit the new voice is definitely scarier and the new film looks more like a horror than a sort of comedy-horror (which is what someone said it was once) but i think i'll still like the old one better - only because i'm scared of everything that's even a tiny bit scary though, and i don't really like horrors :)

I like the movie and the voice of the guy. But I think they caked on too much makeup and it seemed fake. His face was all lumpy all over like it was deformed(other than the burns) Like above his nose between his eyes it seemed too much you couldn't see the definition of his face. And his lips didn't look real either. They didn't move much because of the latex and such so it just looked like a mask, not real. All in all, generally scary. I liked the movie though.

Here's my Opinion about the remake of Wes Craven's A Nightmare On ElmStreet:

The New Freddy is awesome, the look, the make up and The Character, the new actor played it very well, The story is there, and the Movie is Good, I like it, but I think it is too ordinary for a remake, I expected for something more from the Thrill and climax

"Let's Hang"; "Let Me Take A Stab"; etc. There were one-liners all through this movie, and the only ones that worked were the ones ripped completely from the old movies like "How's this for a wet dream". I've noticed that a lot of the supporters of this film do nothing but badmouth the original. Jackie is no Robert, but he deserved better than this.
