To thomkid. America, especially the midwest, is great if you want to see Tornadoes over land. But you would be prone to being caught in the path and they can move very fast over land. Those water spouts at least do no damage out over the water :)

I was in a tornado in Alanya town in September 2009 we took shelter unlike these tourists helped a shop keeper get his stuff inside and to cover very dramatic lots of heavy rain street like river and pieces of ice came down to it got cold we used two jackets i bought for presents to stay warm it passed we didnt have electric that night in a near by town Gizapasa

that actually is not a tornado formed by a supercell thunderstorm, but its a water spout, a waterspout is a intense columnar vortex that occurs over a body of water and is connected to a cumuliform cloud. A water spout is is nonsupercell so then essentially not a tornado.
Tornado of waterhoos, het is gewoon heel mooi gefilmd. Ik heb hem bij mijn favorieten geplaatst. Ik heb er trouwens in 2005 ook daar gezien maar helaas niet gefilmd. Heb er wel foto's van.

That is from Turkey, you can clearly see the Alanya Kale fortress (it's on the right). However the tornados are probably fake.

Ja dit zie ik niet veel in die regio's ik ga ongeveer 1 maand per jaar naar alanya en zo iets heb ik daar nog nooit gezien.

I think they moved in land and became tornadoes but I haven't seen any coverage of that just the destruction with heavy rains.
