They couldn't give me a normal answer, but adya the amazing clairify's, what a teacher so many facets. You can listen to his talks two times over a period of time and see the second time that the first time you didn't quite understand it but now you do.
The "spirituality" of awakening is most likely an obstacle to awakening. Spirituality is such an imaginary, conceptual, intellectual, and cultural phenomenon; it's also a label and a judgment.
"Oh cool, man. I'm feeling so spiritual."
You can awaken more effectively in the "chop wood, carry water, do the dishes" school of Zen.
@1zenAwhile This teacher came from the Zen tradition. I agree with you 'spirituality' has become a cultural catch phrase of sorts. I appreciate how Adya speaks about that. He speaks about the seeker and the addiction of spirituality. It's a wonderful topic he frequents.
