I have an E46 330i and the only performance item I have is the Signature Motoring performance CAI for about $160. The performance kit adds around 13.5HP on the dyno, sounds freaking great, and installs in under 30 minutes. Highly recommended.
-13.5 HP increase
-Lifetime filter
-SOUND AWESOME
-30 min. install time
Aside from the power gain, the SOUND is amazing at higher RPM but sounds normal in regular driving. I’m thinking about added high-flow exhaust next.
My daily driver is E46 328i and E30 325 weekends. 328i is more responsive with Signature Motoring performance (CAI) intake kit. Installed it myself in under half hour. HP increase on the E46 is about 13.5HP for a cost of $170 or around $17 per HP gain. Best 1st performance mod to do. Other application data:
Step is way faster than manual, if you know what you're doing. Standing start, push stick over to manual, gear 1, foot on brake, ready? hit the accellerator to the floor and then a bit further to get the "kick down" going. Car will redline right the way up the box BUT will do it 500-750 revs higher than normal. God damned magic carpet ride...
@lekocaj23 the cheapest oil change you can do is like 25$ and it is for 3000 miles and not synthetic . Now i pay 146$ inside dealer shop and it is for 15000 miles and it is Fully synthetic Castrol Oil. Now u smart albanian boy do ur math wich is worth it.
ohh i dont doubt that one bit, german cars all the way. i have an a4 with the 6 speed and its amazing. the thing i have a problem with is german cars are meant to be driven and not just to get you from point a to point b and when you give it and automatic transmission you loose the true essence of driving
it really depends... if youve driven manual for over 30 years like my dad... you want to go auto at some point.. thats why hes chosing the steptronic.
true..BMW is perfect because of the huge market of people who want a high performance car, but need an everday driver...theyre the perfect combo and look fantastic as well...BMW you cant go wrong.
@whathefmate BMW's break fast as hell dont let me laugh...Ive had 3 and they are weak as a matchbox car...If you dont believe me check channel,i dont trust dem anymore!
Just so you know the steptronic isn't supposed to be fast. It's not for racing.

how do you get rid of that beep sound at the 0:21 sec
Restarea11019V 3 years ago
the beep depends on different things. It can be traction related or the ambient temp sensor which costs 25 at oembimmerparts

I agree its not worth a shit. I own a 330ci w/step it sucks. Still faster than 90% of the cars on the road though.
