  • any info on the build available on the net? mainly would like to know what rods you went with.

  • @mikemikeyee Not a lot of detailed engine stuff, but the rods are Pauter from Australia.

  • great man ...ke70 rokss

  • 7A? which car does 7A comes from?

  • 7AFE comes in Corolla's and Caldina's.

  • 7AFE comes in Corolla's and Caldina's.

  • 7AFE comes in Corolla's and Caldina's.

  • @NEVERENDS90 its i hybrid 7a block with 4age head. they go mean.

  • you should put quotation marks around the 7AGTE in the description..

I almost believe that your engine is a real "7A-GTE" after I look up wiki about the engine and found out that toyoyta didn't even make an "7A-GE"...

great car you have there,, though..

    btw where do you live??

  • Yeah 7AGTE is a hybrid engine, not an official designation.

    Located in New Zealand.

  • @Martman77 Hi would just like to know what kind of suspension people use for the ke70 because i cant find kits anywhere, some people say kits that fit the ae86 can be made to fit these cars but it seems as if you cant get a straight forward bolt on coilover kit for it? help would be appreciated thanx oh and great car btw

  • @NEWanjingkepala3

    7agte

7afe bottom end mated with 4age head. Toyota A-series engines have interchangeable heads/bottom ends.

then added turbo with the T.

  • just goes to show, with good power to weight ratio and a good driver you can keep up with the best of them

  • Simply awesome video! Hope to see more like this :) Shows the true potential of the 30yo, probably most unappreciated car in near history ;) I loved beating high powered Nissan's etc. at track with my Corolla Coupe 4AGE too ;D

  • Iv been thinking of engine ideas for my other KE,once iv done the twin charge on my road one.

Think this vid has decided for me :D

I'll be well happy if mine ever goes that well

Thanks for posting it up man

  • what type of power are you putting out? I have a TE72 with a 3tc under the hood. i think its kind of funny when im racing and I pass people runing V8's but you top the cake being able to run with race spec gtrs. good job man.

  • Current spec is up to about 500hp. There is still a bit more to be made in there though. Power to weight and good drive out of the corners help against the GTR's.

  • rolla for life

  • thats a crazy lil engine ,,, i just picked up a ke70 yours goes hard

  • thats awesome mate! bet those GTR's were shitting themselves that a 20-30 year old corolla was keeping up to them. seems like you know how to drive it too. keep it up chief

  • Hi!

,Wondering ...what king of wheel/rim are those?

    on the green 21 car.

  • haha

  • wait wait wait 7AGTE?

  • easier than calling it a 7A bottom end with a 4AGE 20V BT head and a turbo on the side.

  • oh cool cool

i see lol i was like "what...?"

    LOL

    thanks

  • seriously?

why not run bigger gear diff/w-series box etc and over the top bracing to get the weight up instead of totally useless dead weight..?

do you have a car build thread on a forum or anything?

  • Already has a Hilux diff and a W57 box, and with weight's I can place them where I want to get a good weight distrubution. At the moment it had 48% of it weight on the rear wheels which is good for an FR car.

  • well dont forget lads its a light car compared to a gtr, and the type of suspension is simple yet effective. it doesnt take much to get them to handle well.

  • Not that much lighter, I have to run a heap of lead weight in the car to get up to class weight,

and the skylines are pretty stripped down to weight too.

  • ahah i agree wit Luu %100

  • simply awesome, 5 stars

  • Woah! Is it really a ke70? I can't believe how well that handles being almost 30 year old car! Although I doubt there is anything that old in it. Amazing car!

  • lol, the body's still 30 years old.

Yeah KE70 DX Corolla, about 1981 model.

  • Well done, sticking it with GTRs and beating one too. Could you give some specs on the motor?

  • Toyota 7A block with Supercharged 1600 pistons, and blacktop 20V head. just over 400hp atw.

  • seriously wicked car matt. Big ups
