It sounds like Immortal was just playing power chords and Opeth was playing the same riff with minor bar chords. the last root note is different on the Opeth song also. It's understandable though if your a musician you already know tons of songs use very similar chords structures and in some cases the same chords. it's the other instruments around them that make all songs sound unique.
