I realize the weight was literally killing Popper back then and am glad the guy got the stomach operation he needed so he didn;t wind up taking a dirt dive; but to be quite honest, he looked much younger in the face as a fat man. He lost alot of his character and stage presence after the weight loss. Now, he looks very ordinary and I'd probably have a difficult time recognizing him on the street

Sure they KNOW this song. It's been a staple of BT shows since the band's inception. They're absolutely great. Chan is a terrific guitar player and the dirty sound he uses in this reflects the "devils fiddle" in the original CDB song. I heard BT play this in concert just last Oct. and they knocked it out of the park!

Tips: Popper lobs most to his right so position yourself between him and Chan, don't stand next to anyone with longer reach than you, and be alert when JP changes harps keys in mid song (he sometimes tosses one then), and whenever he blows one out, he tosses into crowd. Guess I sound a little obsessed. Have fun!

Well, not such luck in Lotto. Do have two Popper harmonicas from two consecutive concerts. First one I caught in the air at a FT. Wayne concert summer '06. Last one I got, he tossed about 6-7 people to my right, then I noticed everyone to my right looking around on the floor. I looked down and there it was at my feet. Snatched it up and everyone around me groaned. Can't wait for next concert...going for 3 in a row.
