  • PRAY for the answer to the death penalty. LOL

  • I'm not a republican. I'm not a theistic fundementalist.

    I would support Mitt Romney.

Also, the bible isn't the word of god. It's just a fucking book. I tore up a bible and put it on the channel: mrjizzinator

  • I'm not a republican. I'm not a theistic fundementalist.

    I would support Mitt Romney.

  • hahaha watchin romney fumble over the jesus question was awesome.

  • Jesus would never live in America, and would be ashamed at capitalism. He would be very ashamed at how, his teachings have been corrupted

  • Jesus Christ would not be ashamed of capitalism, he would be ashamed of socialism. In capitalism, millions of individuals give millions of dollars to the poor and needy. And it is precisely those religious, liberty-minded people who support the free market. Nowhere in the Bible did Jesus call for a large, bureaucratic government to take people's money through taxation and then spread the wealth to the poor and needy. And please do not assume what Jesus would or would not do.

  • @Willredd94 lol you literally JUST assumed what jesus would or wouldn't do.

  • Clearly wall street and the military industrial complex owns both the democrats and the republicans! Gravel Kucinich Bernie sanders and Ron Paul are the leaders we need to fix the problem, get corporations and lobbyists out of washington.

  • Romney should've said "Bible is not about words, it's about the message, and I believe the message."

  • go huckabee

  • Ron Paul is truth

  • I do have to agree, Republicans are all about following Christian doctrine...many ppl don't follow those views, but would be a lot more receptive to these questions if you've put the questions in broader terms. I hated that question: "do you believe the bible?" Gimme a break!

  • They don't appeal to voters anymore because of that, white supremecy, pro-war, and being pro corporate. They used to be anti-war. Think about it Eisenhower and Nixon were elected to stop the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Ron Paul was the clear choice for the Republican Party.

  • God God God... Ughh... hello!? can we talk about anything else? Not everyone is CHRISTIAN!

  • The Republicans deserved to lose because of these issues. They don't appeal to people anymore.

Ron Paul would've been the best man to save this country.

  • are these idiots actually answering the question what would jesus do? lol give me a break. And are these really the stupid ass questions the republicans have to answer. come on now.

  • the conversative get all up in arms when Obama talks about diplomacy in the middle east, Giuliani repeats the same message to applause.

  • mitt romney's answer to the bible was horrible. huckabee's answer was right on the dot.

  • i totally agree.

  • Well it is an obvious question about the Jesus deal, he wouldn't give a death penalty? Sooo Huckabee fails?

  • Are you saying that Jesus was against the death penalty? If you are, you are wrong.

  • Tancredo bugs me... Huckabee sounded very presidential.. wow

  • Huckabee seemed to come out smelling sweet.

    .

  • These are dangerous answers. Hunter S. Thompson said that he got the hint that our government is usuing the book of Revalations as a playbook when Ronald Regan said, "This may be the generation that faces the end of the world."

Now, if you interpret that like I did as well as Hunter S. Thompson did, our government is trying to make the book of revalations a REALITY!!! If you dont know what that means...you need to read the book of revalations...you'll be surprised.

  • Lol Mitt and Rudy were sooo uncomfortable. Huckabee handled those Q's like a pro.. Tancredo sounded like a suck-up.

  • Huckabee is a pastor, which would make him a great president.

  • Is that line sarcastic or literal?

  • romney believes in prancer and dancer, donny and vixen and torture yeah torture yeah!

  • Mitt Romey believes that the bible is a word of God. Does he also believe in Santa Clause and Rudolf the red nose reindeer?

  • the book of mormon he means.

  • This is truly sad. You can't be a successful candidate if you are non religious. With all the advance resources of information that can be found why is the bible still credible? Jesus was a mythical character why bring him up in debate? This is quite discouraging to any clear and open minded thinker.

  • If Jesus was the embodiment of God as we as Christians are taught, then yes, God is in favor of the death penalty. He has enacted it more than a time or two.

  • Jesus wouldn't give a death sentence?????

What bible have these people been reading?

  • Romney=idiot

  • I have a problem with the way we as a country run. When I was growing up we didn't have to worry about saying GOD in my sckool. And the kicker here is I'm Puerto Rican. We have changed everything about this country just to save face with other country's. I hate to say it sucks to be an american nowadays.

  • Wow Romney and Guiliani seemed a little uncomfortable when asked about the Bible Huckabee has firm convictions and faith and thats why I have settled on him.

  • That's like settling on him because he bakes the best countries. Not relevant to the job at all. He's not running to be a religious leader, he's running to be a secular government leader. Just because he likes jesus does not mean he has any competence as a president. I guess 8 yrs of Bush hell just wasn't enough for you.

  • No his faith is the deciding factor. I like his policy positions as well being the leader of the free world and having strong convictions and values and reliance on a higher power is definately a good trait to have. I have not been overly displeased with the President I only disagree with him on some spending measures and his support of amnesty. His main problem is failure to properly market his policy to the public.

  • wow.. are these questions set up. of all the issues in america going on right now and the 5000 videos submitted for this debate 2 are on the bible? cnn just wants to make these republicans look like crazy christians and sets up questions to do so. bigs ups the huckabee though.. dude is smart and witty. got my vote so far among these candidates.

  • Jesus would not support the death penalty. If he would have you would actually hear someone amongst these candidates step up and say so. Instead all we heard was that "Jesus was too smart to get involved in politics." from a minister no less.

    politics at it's finest

  • The Father and Son are one and what does God say about the death penalty (Old testimate)? Do you know? The reason they don't step up and clearly say it is because the issue is debated among some Christians and Politicians don't like to alienate and fracture specific segements of the vote that otherwise would fall in their collumn. It is frusttating not to get a straight answer though.

  • Do. You. Know, Joseph. You. Are. A. Dork. I mean specifically, you. Are. A. Dork.

  • I'd vote Mike Huckabee...

to be my Church's Pastor! The man's understanding of Theology is leaps and bounds beyond that of all the other candidates!

...but that doesn't qualify you to be president.

  • I'm not a Republican and won't be voting for any of these guys, but how could any Republicans NOT vote for Huckabee?!?! The guy is BY FAR the best candidate.

  • LOL @ Guillianis vid!!good thing his campaign has a sense of humor..they'll need it when he looses

  • wow, romney's video was like:

you're being threatened by the chinese

you're being threatened by the mexicans

you're being threatened by the gay people

    romney will protect you!

    way to fearmonger, dude.

  • What is that word "Alagorical" Something to do with Al Gore?

  • No,imagien talking animals stories,or animals doing stuff, they represent something.

For ex a bird in a story might represent freedom.

Its something that represent something but isnt obvious, and its often stories about morailty and choices, that let you think the answere, without saying it.

  • derived from allegory. think like a good book. it's a good read, and it demonstrates a point, but it doesn't have to be true.

  • Like dude said above its about symbolism. It makes you think more and understand it well. It fucks with your conscience, instead of readding hella words, it teaches your conscience.

  • Hahahahahahahhahahahaha!!!!

    It's 'allegorical' dummy!

    Republican = ignorant

  • it's "allegorical"

and it means using figurative language.

  • They should be talking about stuffing the ballot box in the Florida Straw Poll! LOL!

  • What a complete waste of time! Talking about if they believe in the bible. That's totally personal and has nothing to do with being Prez. Bush #2 claims to b a christian, but obviously doesn't follow christian practices. As long as the person follows the rules, who give's a shit if they believe in a book that was written thousands of years by men who claim it was from the words of God?

  • Because it means everything.

  • no it doesn't. If someone is a christian, jew, etc, who cares? As long as they do their job, that's all the matters. These issues r not important; the war, health-care, the economy, crime, illegal immigrants, etc, r what's important. these questions did nothing but cloud the real issues.

  • Let me clarify: To a Christian, it means everything.

  • Also there is that whole separation of church and state.

  • Good point. Did anyone notice how the Sudanese Gov't showed themselves to be stuck in the Dark Ages over a certain Teddy Bear incident? We don't need any mention of GOD in politics. Believe what you want(I'm fine with it on the money though) but keep it out of the debates. F$@K Sakes! Where's the European guy who mentioned how embarrassing it was to hear US candidates speak about their guns.

  • mormons dont believe in hell so did Romney lie again yes he did! Ask a mormon if they believe in hell and if they say no they dont believe in the word of god. Idiots!

  • It was only a matter of time before Giuliani brought up his saving grace, the 9/11 attacks. I bet, if it weren't political suicide, he would send a thank you letter to Bin Laden thanking him for boosting his national status.

  • BTW thanks Hobobob!

  • I don't like Giuliani, but his video was pretty freakin' sweet.

  • This be our motto! 'In God is our Trust.'

everything existing in America, it's from Jesus Christ.

  • YEAH! Down with anyone not on the jesus train! 'Merica was built on religious intolerance! separation of church and state? WHO'S EVER HEARD OF THAT CRAP?! NOT IN 'Merica! (this comment rife with sarcasm & irony for those who will invariably take it literally...)

  • Haha most of the candidates and most of the audience have no clue what the Bible says. Does any believe that Guiliani reads the Bible "frequently"? Lol

  • first of all 'Giuliani' is right. not like u wrote it.(moron~)and second, just one moron who don't believe Giuliani's words...it's u. do you think u are smarter than some people? I think you are the one of crazy morons in this country.

  • IloveUSA1950 - your username implies that you love America, but supporting Giuliani is evidence that you do NOT. What say you? I say you are an America-hater.

  • when does life begin?

  • The problem is that the word "life" is an abstraction. Religious people, and most anti-abortionists (or pro-lifers, if you prefer euphemisms), have used this word as a political weapon, but even scientists (who study the constituents and interactions of life)cannot define life.

Also, the bible is not the word of god. It was written by men as a political document to control people.

PLEASE, O PLEASE AMERICA, DO NOT ELECT ANOTHER EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN TO OFFICE.

  • TO BAD NOBODY ABORTED YOU!

  • When Bush is out of office and we have a non white male as our commander and chief....or Ron Paul.

  • I support having my tax dollars spent on keeping convicted murderers in jail for life, for a very simple reason... I might be helping to keep a wrongly convicted man alive. The people who believe that capital punishment isn't murder will most likely admit that having the state kill an innocent man will surely qualify as such.

  • By not supporting capital punishment someone isn't showing sympathy to a murderer, they're recognizing that the criminal justice system isn't perfect and that human reasoning isn't unbiased.

  • The irony of giuliani talking about a small group of people destroying a great religion... just too much.

  • Anyhow, Christians built this great country, America! that is a fact. unchangeable.

  • Imperialists built this country on the broken bodies of Native Americans, and they used African slaves to do it. you want to bring them back too? Because many of the founding fathers believed in slavery and manifest destiny does that make it right?

  • ok. just fuck off somewhere else. if you are American, u are crazy unpatriotic motherfucker. and If you are European or that kinds of shit, you just need to fuck out of my sight before I shoot your dirty shit mouth.

  • OH NOES PHYSICAL THREATS ON TEH INTERNETS! There is nothing un-patriotic about recognizing that this nations founding wasn't all roses and teddy bear farts. It's patriotic to question, it's patriotic to criticize, and if there is anyone who is a poor American it's the man who doesn't question the ethics of his surroundings.

  • I respect your opinion as a fellow American. really. because we are American! hehe. yeah yeah...against the war? no problem! I just want to many people that.....we just need to wait. please wait one more year. don't be hasty~man~ I think War in Iraq it's not so terrible. not so~terrible. we can do it more. Easy does it. we ve been waiting 4years. but just wait little bit more. and just like the words of Our men and women in Iraq, LET US WIN. LET US WIN. u cant give up right now man.

  • well, 'savage', perhaps if you had a loved one 'savagely' murdered, you might understand that some acts require a 'savage' response.

  • Huckabee failed to answer the question. The question was "What would Jesus do?"(about the death penalty). How can you be pro life and against ending the war? What a hypocrite.

  • Terminating an innocent life and terminating the life of an enemy that is threatening the life of your countrymen and family is quite different and if you can't understand that there is no hope for you.

  • The point is that life is life, and christian dogma clearly demands forgiveness for any who ask. The death penalty as it stands is a joke. The only benefit you get out of it is deterrence, which you fail to achieve if you have appeal processes that drag on for decades. Even expedited it would continue to fail to deter if you look at it in central asia. Yet another buzz word for the blood thirsty and low brow.

  • Jesus is the same God who gave the following commandment to Noah (Gen. 9:6):

"Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man."

The only time it doesn't apply is during the legitimate rules of warfare that God also gave to His people. Jesus is ready to forgive anyone who repents of sin, even murder, but He never rescinded capital punishment. Remember: we must protect the innocent and punish the guilty. Liberals always have it backwards.

  • Not to act as tho the bible or the koran are ANY sort of basis to run government... but John 8:1 - 11 is a clear instance of a capital offense being rescinded. If you truly are a christian let your god do the ultimate judging, not some back water judge.
