Basic DMX programing on a Chauvet Colorpalette part 1

how can i control my chauvet colorpalette with the obey 3? it works but the presets ,black out, strobe, chase they doesnt work. i just can control it with one fader not completly.

The "Terminator" which goes in the end, is usually something that you are supposed to make yourself according to acme, by using an odd XLR plug, and connecting the internal terminals together, or something like that.

It is to prevent electricity from going to a dead end or something, not too sure.

It's actually a resistor solderd between the two pins! Dont just solder the two pins too eachother, that can damage the fixtures!

@Zman87gt terminators are only really required for cable runs of 100 meters upwards. This is because of they way the signal travels down the cable. The terminator should put a resistance between pins 2 and 3 of the DMX line. I believe 220ohms is the correct value but don't hold me to that.

Your all right but to make a terminator you take an old or new MALE XLR plug and solder a 120ohm 0.5watt resistor between pins 2 and 3, you plug it in at the end of the line.

that could have been the problem with your movers.
