no! how about enforcing the law! immigration reform is a farce. only time anyone needs to consider reform is if something isnt working. our laws for immigration would work if the feds would take the cuffs of law enforcement fed and state and actually allow them to ENFORCE. check the number people the impact on communities, budgets at the state and fed levels. look at our countries laws and other countries. view how they enforce..esp the mexican gov. the facts are there.

The reason for Arizona to enact an immigration law, which is a copy of the federal law, is to show the federal gov., and Obama in particular, are playing politics with America's borders, and attempting to secure the hispanic vote. Obama and friends do not wish America well, he promised "change" and that is all we will be left with in our pockets, if we are lucky enough to still have pants.

When I travel with plane the airport security "harrass me" and they ask my documents. So what? That is the law, this is how the country is safe, isn't it? If the US must be secured, why the borders are wide open? It makes no sense.

@mrethrift It's not that we shouldn't show compassion toward the Mexican immigrants, nor should they be harassed. I can understand the arguement that they will have children who will become consumers and pay taxes, but why should the poor citizens of this country pay for that outcome?
He keeps pointing to the fact that this nation was built by immigrants--this nation was farmed by slave too--things change. We can not afford it. If we could it would be great. We could make a New Israel too!

Obama using the La Raza excuse that a person present in the US illegally might have had great grandparents living in AZ before it was a state. That in no way justifies illegal immigration into a sovereign nation. Those papers are specifically called a "green card". and you'd think the President of the United States would (should) know that. Not papers, which are made to sound ominous as used in this context..
