Man that's a gorgeous blade. I love the slim clean lines.

I wish they'd release the 3 inch versions again. I'd be on them in a heartbeat.

@victorinoxfan i carried it all week - you definitely know you're carrying a 4" knife but it carries lighter than most. i never knew they made a 3" version...i'll have to google it to see what it looks like.

Nice review man. How's the D2 on your 710 doing against rust/how do you keep it from staining?

@SezMan716 my 710 looks good - i just wipe it down with oil or a tuff cloth once ever few months - so far so good.

I'm still on the fence about the socom. There's some things I like and other things I don't. But with the 20cv blade that may tip the scales a bit.

@darkchild57 i had the same feelings but now that i've handled and carried it - i really love it. what do you think you don't like about it?

@defenseandsafety For me personally, I think it's just the overall shape. Every time I look at it, I'm not really hit with an overwhelming sense of "I have to have it"... I'm sure it's a fully functional knife but cosmetics does play a bit in the decision to buy for me. I may still go for one I've found three with the 20cv steel. Just have to make the decision quickly lol:)

The liner is actually stainless, which I prefer since it won't wear hardly at all. I am really glad you like the knife man! I absolutely love it!

The lock won't move, hardly at all. I've flicked mine thousands of times, with no movement at all. These knives are stout!

@jdavis882 good to know about the liner lock being steel. now i need to send it over to you for a touch up and a micro bevel ;) but i need to wait a few weeks for the newness to wear off first though.

@defenseandsafety Haha any time man. They do GREAT with a 30 degree edge and 40 degree toothy micro bevel. Cuts like no other...

@defenseandsafety the UKPK lightweight in maroon frn with the leaf blade I prefer dark clothes so it will be less obvious and I dont know anything about bd1 steel that its suposed to be in.but its one a alternative edc and 2 an improvement on my current collection :)
