@Mickycond86 That's the reverb i believe. I know when I have reverb on a track and stop it you hear the reverb amount. That's one way i actually adjust how much I use by starting and stopping it.
Can I just install cakewalk to laptop and use Roland Juno D synth with Midi and manipulate the sound from the synth or do i need a actual DAW or DAW SOFTWARE OF SOME SORT. Please help. I am trying to best the best possible sound from this. Something close of ebm and aggrotech. Im not to good with software. Thanks.

I mean, of course showing it in Cakewalk is good for them too, but they want to sell Rapture/Dimension to everyone, even people they can't get to use Sonar :)
as someone who owns both soft synths (and loves them) it was cool to see them used in a foreign environment. very educational and worthwhile. thanks so much
wow! That is awesome! I just got sonar 8 producer it has dimention pro and rapture le. i just got the expantions packs 1 and 2 for dimention for free. now i have to go through all thoes sounds now. i love to hear all the amazing sounds in these programs they sound like the ones on $2000 keyboards.
wow, I can't believe that synth pads are used to fill pad up real strings! I would've thought that ONLY real string samples (like East West, or at least real strings in a sampler like dimension pro) were used.
Anyway, the result is beautiful, and that's all that counts.
This guy is great...
Dimension Pro's strings are very good indeed

@remixerone
The sounds in Dimension Pro are those of the Roland Phantom.

It sounds like he is trying to underlay french horns with those strings.

@scizzle42 You can't pick out open 5ths moving up and down the scale? Yeah, you probably shouldn't call yourself a composer then.

If your talent is strong, your keyboard skill weak.. Practice practice Practice

@skepticalinquier I guess you missed the 'engineer' part. His playing is more than adequate to cover what he needs to be able to do.

This guy is awesome... I can't call myself a "composer" when this "engineer" picked out that chord progression faster than I could ever dream.
And he's right, the strings in Dimension Pro are damn good.
scizzle42 3 years ago 8
x2, can't call myself a composer either. All the software synths in the world will not make me as good as this engineer
