Eeh... I like Nick, but this is not my kind of thing. I think one can motivate himself even without emotional masturbation like that. I have other people around me. I don't need to imagine another person to be happy. :D
@lazyscience123 He is insane because he is expressing his love for God? Are we insane for expressing our love our our children or parents? Come on, you are smarter than that.
@ImyurZero I don't think that many modern Protestant evangelicals are ready to address the problem of evil as you present it, and the argument lurking behind your rhetoric is one that unfortunately doesn't get much airtime except rhetorically.
@ImyurZero Of course, that doesn't necessarily make your softly pugilistic flourishes a victory in any sense other than within the parameters of your argument -- it could still be wrong, but the logical possibility of it's being empty should not console the intellectuals among them, even if they deny that you accurately present their understanding of God's role in creating the world and in the dynamic of natural occurrence. I hope a competent Ev. replies, but...on Youtube...not many.
@ImyurZero hah -- fair enough. :-D Would you like me to rephrase it? Basically I was saying that your argument is often repeated by others, but not in a way that facilitates a conversation -- it's usually put forward in a shape that's simply designed _to win_. Rhetorically, it's very effective, but that doesn't make it true -- only rhetorically effective. Still, this shouldn't console the intellectuals among evangelical Protestants...etc. (I think the rest is easily intelligible).
@aelvonus I know what you were saying, my point in telling you to read that essay was not because I did not understand you. Using words like that are really pointless if it can be stated with the exact meaning with a much less intrusive word.
But Im sure you read the essay and understand it fully.
@aelvonus and really, how would you phrase your argument from evil, or if that's not what you're getting at, your argument from incoherence (that it is inconsistent and incoherent to posit a Creator who is responsible for malformed creatures on one hand and Who also loves them on the other hand, or something like that). If you do that, you'll get pounced on by lesser minds, but if you're going to make an argument, isn't it good to just _make_ it? --otherwise, why say anything?
@ImyurZero also, I wish there was a way of pleading with Youtube to offer a better comment thread format. It's impossible for me to tease out the comment-reply order here, but any run-of-the-mill blog usually is set out quite clearly, in a very intuitive and user-friendly format. Sigh.
@ImyurZero also, I think (I'm not an evangelical, so I don't know this) that, aside from certain circles of Reformed Protestants, they would generally deny (regarding timmynovinger's comments) that God is responsible for evil, brokenness, division, etc. I think there are plenty of critiques left open to a critic, but that particular one -- the claim that God made him without limbs, but then he loves God anyway -- needs some retooling if it's going to be a real argument.
@ImyurZero would you have ever heard of Nick if he had limbs? You only saw this video because He has no limbs. So if God made Nick without limbs just so you'd watch a video about Christ then it seems like god is a great designer. You don't have to see it like I do, but Nick would say that there is a purpose behind him not having limbs. He has a better outlook on his situation than you do and He is the one without limbs.
@timmynovinger This video is not called "I have no limbs therefore God is great" I am not attacking him or anyone else just because he has no limbs...
Im calling out the flaw in how you say something is so great even though he deformed you....
Nick is a great speaker and has a wonderful personality and a huge sense of optimism. The fact he believes in something that would severely deform him and still think that he is great is not only weird but down right sad.
@timmynovinger It is like a child loving their parents even though they beat them every night, but the parents are still great because they love them, feed them, shelter them and put them in cloths.
This not only makes no sense but is so irrational that at this point no logic makes sense.
Again I am not attacking Nick in any way, and him not having limbs is not different than if he had. Blindly following and loving something that does so much harm is just morally wrong.
@vinskamuha Has he seen God? Or touched him or had a single conversation with him? I mean really, not a "I just feel him" type of thing.
If you have not done any of that you are by definition BLINDLY following him. If you do not ask questions, and dont care what God does because anything he does is good no matter what it is that is blindly following.
And i dont mean hes blind because I get the feeling someone was thinking that.
@ImyurZero dude....that is why is it called faith ........and what do you think by following ? like he is killing and sacrificing virgins for Him?or being better person and having hope ?
@vinskamuha Saying that God is good and that he did that to him for a reason. This logic makes no sense, it's like saying I cut my dogs legs off because I don't want him to run away I love him so much.
You will never understand this if you were told as a child that this is what you have to believe, but you refuse to look at both sides of the coin. And for that I feel bad for you all.
@ImyurZero ow didn't understand you earlier sry.....I am not saying that God created him like this .......it is more like if you find dog without limbs and love him and give him home.....
and dog is bad metaphore not to offend Nick but just using what you said
@vinskamuha If God is all powerful, and does everything for a reason, he then did make Nick without limbs. And finding a dog with no limbs is not the same because your God had a choice, and his choice was to make him with no limbs.
Going to these sort of lengths to get people to love you kind of has the opposite effect if you ask me.
Go read a science book, I mean really read it and you will start to see (if you are rational) how there could be no god. Everything is explainable without God.
@ImyurZero actually I do read science book......and I say that God created it all.........it is really silly to say that God doesn't exist because you can't put him under a microscope.......
@vinskamuha I can tell you no read book. You can even form a complete sentence. It really doesnt matter because when you die you wont know if you went to heaven or hell, because you will just be dead. Your brain works by electrical currents that pulse through neurons, that energy is then interpreted into thought, vision, hearing, touch, etc.
When you stop that current to the brain there can be nothing left. Its like turning off your computer, it doesnt still work when you flip the switch.
THANKS NICK FOR THE PERSON WHO YOU ARE. I AM JUST A SOUTH AFRICAN GIRL BUT SINCE I FOUND YOU, YOU MADE ME PROUD OF WHO I AM AND WHO GOD MADE ME. THANKS LOVE YOU
Nick, i encourage you to preach Jesus and Him on the cross etc, because there are people here that obviously think you can be talked out of your position, do not be afraid that Jesus is the ONLY way, you don't have to say 'I talk to Jesus, but you talk to whoever you talk to'... there IS only one God and you don't want to encourage people to KEEP going to whatever wrong place they are going to for comfort that ISN'T Jesus... not to criticize, but i'm so scared for all the peeps going to hell :(
@do1gdo1g The army does not justify and take away the sin of the people they die for. For those who died in the army, all of them committed some kind of sin every day in their lives, while Jesus was the only human in history who lived life committing absolutely no sin, any day of his living. That's why his death matters more than anyone else's because he had used the power (because of a perfectly clean life) to forgive us all and give us a great eternal afterlife if we ask for forgiveness :)
@NickVujicicTV very good video. I believe that your strength and you power come from your knowing about God. Actually you have a pure deep strong belief in God. Keep going in your way. If you really want to know more about God, you should read about him in Islam, in Qr'an. You will not believe how much Qr'an mentioned Jesus. In fact, God mentioned Jesus in Qr'an more than Mohamed. Read about Islam you will find a lot of answers.
@ivanisavich Wow, have a bit of heart o.o You voluntarily came to a video of a limbless man just to put him down. He has no limbs for gods sake, it must be really difficult, most likely harder than anything youve been through. So what he has a faith that helps him through it, he's not hurting you, he doesnt need you critisizing him.
@ivanisavich Irrelevant. Re-read what I said. I never even implied it's more true because of his condition.
And seriously? Critisizing a limbless man for having a personal faith, while not harming anyone & helping thousands of people whilst not even bothering you? Sorry, I fail to see any purpose in that. It just seems kinda low to me x )
Thanks Nick for All You Do! God Bless You!

Thank God I was born with no ill effects,
Thank God I was born with no limbs and can still live a normal life,
Thank God I was born with massive brain damage but am still alive to worship him,
Thank God I was born with a debilitating disease and will be in a wheelchair my whole life but can still think of Gods glory....
This is a sad way to see someone who is supposed to have "shaped" you in your mothers womb. Pretty pathetic designer if you ask me.
Bring on the christian way of threats!
