They have hair not fur and she/he didn't use shampoo it's just their hair is brushed to silk. And that's the natural look of a yorkie and it's not a mop!

How do you get the area around the yorkie's mouth clean?

Whenever I just gave my yourkie a bath, the area around his mouth is still dirty, or atleast somewhat clean, but then he messes it up again by licking it constantly.

Also, how do you get the tear ducts clean? I find it very difficult because A. my dog just doesnt stay still, and B. it just doesnt seem to become clean.

It's true, the little dog is beautiful, very cute. But, if you are a really doglover, maybe you must adopt a homeless puppy and not spend money used your dog like a toy.

@pdrojs I have allergies and the small non-shedding Yorkie is one of the only choices I have for a dog to love. You can't guarantee what lineage you're getting at a shelter...so I'm buying a yorkie from a breeder. There is nothing wrong with wanting a certain look and behavior in a dog. I resent the public putting the blame on people who want purebred dogs. People should take the responsibilit of neutering their pets

@pdrojs I agree with that wholeheartedly. The only exception is show dogs, especially if that's your form of income. And I know that people are breeders for their job, my mom used to be one, so I can see it from both sides. But people get a little crazy as well. I know personally I won't ever buy a dog from a breeder. I'm gonna go to a shelter, and get the oldest most unwanted dog their is and give them the best last years of their life they can have and do it again and again.

@pdrojs I'm an allergy/asthma sufferer. Yorkies are one of the only non-shedding, semi non allergic breed I can have in my home as a pet to love. It MUST be purebred, because I can't risk a rescue that has genetics of a high dander shedder. You shouldn't be so judgmental. Besides, the obligation to prevent overpopulation of homeless animals lies in the hands of irresponsible breeders and people who discard their animals as if they were unwanted garbage. I AM a REAL doglover!

I have A 7 month old Yorkie. Your little girl is very beautiful. Do you show her? Is this why she is in her full coat? Most owners don't let the hair grow out that long, unless she is a show dog? THe upkeep is very time consuming on her hair, it is not easy ! I commend you for keeping up with her coat care. :)

Her coloring is amazing and so perfect. I like when they stay black and brown like this. He coat shows that you spend some time with it. My Yorkie's coat stays pretty short but I like that. I would never be able to keep her coat as beautiful as this! Keep up the good work!
