  • What ever happened to these guys??

  • @ofwolfenkind Well, the singer he went on to be successful in several fields, but most successful as a voice actor, the drummer went on to play in a couple successful bands, the one playing bass went on to be a singer, and the guitarist just got fed up and hasn't been heard from since.

  • yeah grunge is shit....

  • good lyrics and excelent rythm ......

they had a great future.....but, what happened whitn them??

  • @nikolai1987ful Grunge destroyed good rock music.

  • @ModelJames13 Grunge destroyed everything that ever was good ....

  • @ModelJames13 Thank you!

  • And yeah, it was Danny Cooksey on both Salute Your Shorts and in the Terminator movie.

  • Cooksey was older than the rest of the band. The drummer was only 15, the guitarist was 14. I think Cooksey was actually 17 or 18. I'd have to pull out my ancient, crumbling Metal Edges lol but I'm pretty sure I'm correct.

  • @missangel1100 You still have copies of them. I have a bunch in a box that I haven't opened in about 14 years. I really have to open them sometime. LOL

  • Budnick!!!!!

  • the person that sings this song gave it to my dad and my band gets to sing this song

  • man, that chick can growl.

  • OMG! thanks for posting this VDO :) missing them!!!

  • Isn't that the drummer from Bad Religion?

  • @Grapes428 It is!

  • milo kamilani, ftw

  • Yes Danny Cooksey was in Terminator 2: Judgement Day on the bike with Eddie Furlong. :-) I STILL love Bad 4 Good, even after all these years! :-D

  • Weren't these guys like 14 at this time?

  • @evanskick22 the guitar players 12

  • @evanskick22

At the time their album was published, Cooksey was either 16 or 17 years old. I can't imagine the others would be much younger.

  • BUDNICK!

  • Hes almost got a Sebastian bach kind of growl. They do a good job, sounds good.

  • it's too bad and also pretty funny that a bunch of really talented kids got into music just as 80's spandex metal was just about to die. Nirvana would soon come and make all of this stuff sound instantly dated and ...retarded. Then the Strokes would come along and make the 90's sound dated and stupid... it's a vicious cycle.

  • what an amazing voice on that kid.

  • Shove this right down the throats of Biebers, Mileys and the other candy assed kid/teen music producers of this day and age. They will NEVER amount to the pureness, awesomeness and quality of a teen band such as Bad 4 Good.

  • love this song from the 90's!! Favourite line is "That the spirit carries passion like the thunder carries rain & that our emotions, are a test to our devotion" cause it's so true.....

  • yes he was also on Salute Your Shorts on Nickelodeon

  • wow, it really IS jack spicer. lol

  • I loooooove you jack spicer!!! ;)

  • I really love it, twenty years ago....... remind me on that day, very good.

  • i am so geeked that bobby budnick is rocking it in this band hes really good

  • Thank god for the internet. I wore out my 1st cd, 2nd one burned in house fire, got into huge fight at every music store in my area because this awesome classic was discontinued. Peace & rock on

  • me too. I had to be removed from the music store. Bastards still make so much other crap though

  • Just when you thought Budnick couldn't be more bad ass...

  • Too bad they release just one album

    Good band

  • Thank you for posting this - I remember them from when this was released! Trip down memory lane to listen to it!

Bad 4 Good were the ones who was gonna take hardrock like it used to be into the future together with Nirvana. We all know what happened with Nirvana - but what happened to these guys? I miss them and considering the number of videos and showings here I am not the only one either!

  • there's nothing great about this band breaking up. i get chills every time i hear this boy Iv'e been crushing on since salute my shorts, sing.

  • i remember listening to them when they 1st came out. steve vai put them all together. damn, that was when i was 15 or 16 back in the 90's. they were amazing for a group of kids. and thomas mcrocklin is an amazing guitar player, and then danny cooksey, and drummer brooks wackerman who has been the drummer for bad religion for the past decade. and zack was a cutie

  • i wish jack spicer song;D

  • Amazing Ballad!

  • They were so underrated! This was a GREAT song.

  • these guy kicked ass back in the early 90's w/Steve Vai's prodegy

  • I was in their fan club back when they briefly had one. I still have every last thing they ever sent me. Plus THEIR BACKSTAGE PASS from this tour! :-D

  • I was in their fan club back when they briefly had one. I still have every last thing they ever sent me.

  • I loved this band. So talented.

  • I think the reason B4G's album bombed was that all 4 boys were naked on the cover. Nobody endorses child "porn", including fans. They were just too young for that. Danny pulled something similar (adult) with his current band Arbuckle, a shirtless man on the cover.

  • @Monica1C3 DO YOU SERIOUSLY BELIEVE THE BULLCRAP OUT OF UR MOUTH? THE REASON WAS BECAUSE IT WAS A NEW BAND AND COULDN'T GET THROUGH THE GROWIN PAINS OF BEING AN AWESOME NEW BAND, THEY JUST DIDN'T PULL THROUGH...WHAT TALENT. SOUNDS LIKE UR A LITTLE JEALOUS U CAN'T PLAY THAT GOOD ..**..

  • @jasonbastable Don't be immature. I was a disc jockey in radio starting whjen I was 15, which was BEFORE B4G were together/known. I'm also from the music industry, and I've worked with rock bands all my life. Grow up. I was there.

  • @Monica1C3 DO REALLY BELIEVE THE BULL CRAP COMING OUT OF UR MOUTH. THAT IS A RIDICULOUS STATEMENT SORRY TO SAY. !@#$%^&

  • danny cooksey,,,,also played on different strokes

  • i love this song

  • Dude, these kids were amazing. I wish to God I could've played like that at 14, 15, 16, 20, 23, 25, 28. Incredibe. Amazing singer, guitarist, all of it.

yes this is the kid from T2. He also looks like Shannon hoon from Blind Melon.

  • alguien digame donde bajo el mp3 llevo dias buscandolo y nada!!!!

  • this sounds good, still up to this day, sounds even better on a system, Got this computer hooked up, so i like to jam and collect rare songs...Peace!

  • this album was the bomb back in the day

  • Its still the bomb today. Its hard to find decent music anymore. I say decent as in quality not message or wtf ever. These guys had talent. And in this age of Guitar Hero rockstars, talent is a scarce commodity unless it entails an Xbox or some other type of game system. Alright, sorry for my rant. These guys are stilf fucking awesome.

  • Man, this reminds of 1992 something fierce. Damn, I'll never be young again. Good timez..."Give me back my childhooh innoncence and the peace..." well said Danny!

  • The guitarist was the kid on the Steve Vai song the Audiance is listening! Wanting to be a Rock n Roll Star and playing for his class at school

  • The singer came a long way from the little red head boy on different strokes!

  • "The singer came a long way from the little red head boy on different strokes!"

Yeah, he was also on "Salute Your Shorts" on Nickelodeon. But I swear, every time I see his face, it takes me back to little "Sam" on Diff'rent Strokes who'd bust out his guitar and croon some country tunes. He's come a long way, indeed. I actually like this one. I hope Danny is doing well nowadays.

  • Too bad the "teenagers" now days are all talentless hacks! I was the same age as the band when the album came out. It's a great rock album, and looking back I still think so.

  • well, not atleast one of them, the drummer went to play in Suicidal Tendencies

  • um wow

  • Man isn't that John Connor's buddy who rides on the dirtbike with him in Terminator 2??

  • Yep, that's him.

  • No its the guy from Troll 2 who says "Oh my GOOOOOOD!"

  • @gzussturbo Omg yes it is! Danny Cooksey.. Awesome !

  • @gzussturbo Thats right! Looked up Danny Cooksey on IMDB

  • @gzussturbo uhhhh duhhh

  • @gzussturbo

he was also on Quake 4 as the medical officer you escort

  • @gzussturbo ya, this dude is awesome, ive met him once a couple years back,.real nice guy

  • @gzussturbo Yeps, it sure is him, and going WAY back... he was also the little red haired kid on Diff'rent Strokes, in it's later years before it went off the air. These kids are polished and pro, unfortunate that they didnt have more time in the US music scene. We can thank all that seattle grunge/heroin garbage for the death of real hard rock. Sorry to see it go, but i'm glad i caught this upload. Thanks Blumpweron :))

  • @gzussturbo YUP.

  • Too many plaid shirts

  • Steve Vai did a great job with these guys. Great song, catchy voice and amazing instrumentals. Wish we could turn back time. Who couldn't relate to this song? (don't answer that)

  • @2sidedrainbow...it says a lot about Stevie Vai that he would take the time and show interest in allowing these boys to explore their passion. Back in 1991-92 good rock music was faltering, suppose it took four kids to show us what we were missing. I love it. My copy is precious.

  • Amen, Danny!

  • How come no one is excited about the fact that Budnick is singing for this band?

  • Oh, I am. :3

  • @cygnusXhaust he is a beautiful artist and I really wish he sang more than what he sang in his band. the only thing great about that band was his beautiful voice!

  • @cygnusXhaust haha they shouldve got donkey lips to be in the video...

  • they may have been kids at the time they did this but it is a great song!

  • Ha!Ha! A Junior High Power Ballad.

  • These kids are amazing !!!

  • This band got screwed by grunge.

If you put these SAME four adults

    on stage today in nashville

and had them dress up to match

the act they'd be opening for

(pick any ....all caucasian country-rock bands out of nashville sound and look the same,,,much like their audience)

and I PROMISE YOU THEY'D sell gold in a week or two.

Vai should've let someone else handle the image of the band....they're dressed "grunge"-ish here...so they KNEW something was awry at the filming.

  • I think there was more too it than that. They took different paths instead of music. Where those like Sebastian Bach kept going with the same kind of thing. The only thing I saw not selling to fans was kids telling them about what a hard life they've had. As adults, they can basically do the same thing and get by. They had good guitar, vocals, everything. They could have at least recorded lower budget demos or something, but they must not have been into music that much? No excuse, lol.

  • Not sure I know what you mean....

these songs were mostly sappy breakup song ala Vai with Whitesnake doing his best imitation of BonJovi / NJ hair metal...he came close with these guys.

I didn't know ANY of them claimed hard lives....that wakermans are kind of born into it...and the frontman USED to be on tv in some sitcom.

its EASY to be "not that in to it" since even P-Diddy has a hard time turning a buck in music. Its NOT a game for the faint of heart anymore

  • Does anyone have Slow and Beautiful they can post here on YouTube? That and NGAAH are my two favorite songs from B4G.

  • Hey man, there's this cop scopin' for ya, check it out. Damn, I can actually FEEL the raw emotion in Danny's voice.

  • I liked them, but I got the impression that it was sort of a stunt to create and produce the band. Everything was so cliche, including the interviews where they talk about smashing things and living the hard rock lifestyle. I think they themselves decided not to go on knowing they would be found out.

But this song rocks, my favorite thing to come out of the whole thing.

  • These kids were f'n amazing. Wish they had stuck around longer. They should totally make a comeback.

  • these guys couldve been big. they probably needed a better image

  • Damn, I can actually FEEL the raw emotion in Danny's voice.

  • Man, these guys were ripped off by the music industry. Had to be timing. Danny sang his a** off on this song. Love the passion and great video that was apparently never released.

  • the guitarist in this band, i thinks brooks wakerman (hmm) went on to play guitar for bad religion!! PUNX NOT DEAD

  • Brooks Wackerman is actually the drummer, but you are correct he is currently the drummer for the band Bad Religion.

  • nice song

  • Anyone know the name of that guitar model is? I know it's a JEM but some variations have different names...

  • i wanna say that the name of the guitar model is the ibanez JEM77FP. not really my favorite JEM model, in my opinion. his blue sparkle, 20th anniversary, and marbelized 7-string JEMs are awesome.

  • These kids were A LOT better than most 80s hair bands around....

They were better musicians and songwriters than Motley Crue, GNR and Skid Row put together.

Every song in this CD "Refugee" was great: played well, with tons of the right attitude and actual skills, and the hooks were much more captivating and refreshing than anything else going on at that point in time.

  • I wouldn't say they were better songwriters since they had minimal writing credit on the album, but this is one of my favorite CDs of all time! The instrumental and "Felony" I'd give 4 stars to...every other song is AWESOME and get's 5 stars!

  • If I remember right Steven Vai wrote most of the song and Danney Cooksey co-wrote on some of them. like 2 or 3

  • You're right!

  • Very good album, indeed. Some of the lyrics, were, juvenile...transposing certain letters as to refrain from using the "F" word and such...nonetheless it would have been great to see this band mature (Lucy's Milk they later became)...Cooksey had the attitude and talent to even best Sebastian Bach, and McRocklin could have equally bested EVH or even his mentor, Vai...little green men indeed!

  • I likes Cooksey better than Bach, being that he has a great vocal range, pitch, and is more versatile than Bach, which only sings metal. The drummer was very good too. The lyrics, which -you're right- are juvenile, were perfectly coherent with who they were at the time: a band of young men who expressed their anger through music, which in my opinion was far more constructive and functional than seeing them getting in trouble with the law or destroying their huge talent with drugs.

  • OMG i love this song <3<3<3<3<3

  • I Salute their shorts.

  • Wow, I haven't heard this song in years!

  • nice performance, awsome!!!

  • I love this song!

I need a time machine, just to see those talented (and cute ;-)) guys rock the stage!

  • I'm surprised they only lasted 1 CD. If they could have stayed together and sung songs like this then they would have been huge in the 90's.

  • thanks dude, this song rules.

  • Whatever happened to TR?

  • Hey man, there's this cop scopin' for ya, check it out.

  • nice...

  • Thanks again for putting this up. :)
