  • QUOTE: “The best stuff I ever heard is by a bloke called Bobby Parker” - Robin Trower

Face Book Fan Page: “Guitar Blues Legend Bobby Parker”.

  • "He's one of the few remaining guitarists on this planet who can pierce your heart and soothe your soul. He inspired me to play guitar." --Carlos Santana. FB fan page: "guitar blues legend bobby parker"

  • Bobby Parker’s impact on the world of Rock & Roll is simply amazing. Check out his FB fan page at: “guitar blues legend bobby parker” and his website at bobby parker blues dot com... The bio tells an unbelievable story and is quoted by artists like Carlos Santana and Robert Plant. He’s SUPERBAD!

  • @idigblues69 thanks idigblues if you don't mind I like to agree with you on everything you've said lol....................BOBBY

  • Wow wow. That's what I call happening... I would have love to be there to do a 24 bar solo on harp - I mean - a groove like that? Some of our jams at The Mississippi Blues Society get going like that... Beautiful!

  • sounds like where page got the riff for "moby dick" from.

  • Awesome stuff, one for my favs 10/10...Peace...jake

  • @JPRBlues thanks Jake such kind words

  • sounds like one way out, huh? one way out 1961 sonny boy williamson, elmore james 1960 unrealeased session recut later 1963

  • this is why i hate radio--you'll never hear anything like this. lot of energy here

  • So zep stole this riff for opening riff of Moby Dick . Yea?

  • @steamtrain1978 Yes, and it also was the influence for The Beatles' "I Feel Fine" the riff for Deep Purple's "Rat Bat Blue" and The Allman Brothers' "One Way Out".

  • Hello Fans

Bobby Parker here I want to say thank you for all your support feel free to drop me a line anytime

  • He'll be playing at the July 11th, 2009 Reston Town Center Fest. (Virginia) I'll be there; bet on it.

  • Its all about good musicianship, good feelings, and talent! And, of course, being based in the blues....I do particularly like all the shows from this stage. My only regret is I wasn't there, too!

  • This song also inspired Lennon & McCartney to write "Daytripper". The riff is very similar.

  • The guitar riff is like the one from "I Feel Fine" too!

  • FYouDie: Wow, you're right! Never even thought of that!

  • sounds more like "I Feel Fine."

  • MusicDude86: I agree with you. I think The Beatles sampled the riff a few times although the liner notes to Bobby Parker's CD only mentions the connection with "Daytripper".

  • Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin is an outright copy of the Bobby Parker song but the Beatles song definitely are a definite cousin to the Bobby Parker song the facts are the melody is different.

  • No Merseybeat band could match those vocals! Bobby Parker is the meaning of SOUL. Thank you bobany!

  • Cor-rect!!

  • This clip inspired me to replay Parkers' two "Blacktop" CD's from the early-mid 90s. "Bent Out Of Shape" & "Shine It Up". Two incredible CD's with some very inventive Blues guitar..not the usual cliches. What a voice too. Bobby Parker is one the last remaining links to the golden age of Blues/R&B. Thanks again bobany1.

  • @bobany1 Didn't Dave Berry, (the bloke with the big black leather glove), do a cover of this one, unless I'm very much mistaken? :/

  • @taildragger51 I certainly agree with that.............lol .......Guitar Blues Legend Bobby Parker

  • The flip of this 1961 record is "Steal Your Heart Away" - also brilliant.

  • woodwaj: You're right about the flip side. What a fine song it is. I still have the original single.

  • He is such a great and underrated player!
