  • 0:24 Awesome XD

  • lol.. "sorry the rear emergency exit is jammed, will everyone walk to the front of the plane to use the other emergency exit"

  • Who was just watching Jim Carey?

  • no

  • i go to LAX

  • I thought smoking was not allowed on planes anymore.

  • @Ronf465 Hah. My Ribs. They Hurt.

  • I was on an American B-757 going to Hawaii at LAX in March of 06' and the captain aborted the takeoff from full takeoff power. I would estimate very close to V1.

He hit those reversers, speed brakes and wheel brakes HARD and the whole cabin had shit just flying everywhere.Chicks screaming, Kids crying.I loved it. Classic!!! lol.

  • @patton303

    *correction* ... it was a B-767 I was on, not a B-757.

  • Lol.....American Airports and the Media always making a big deal about an airplane landing.

  • Huh. This is even more weird than that one time flight 815 landed there.

  • This couldn't have been going to Hawaii. AA runs 767-300s to Hawaii, with the occasional 737-800. Never a 752, though.

  • @BermudaGreenNox a 737 really? thats kid of pushing it

  • @surfboyhawaii Every now and then, AA does run 737-800s to Hawaii. Continental uses mainly 737-800s from LAX to HNL, with some 763s from Newark and Houston. You're right, though. Seems like a long stretch for a 737.

  • i build those slides :) And ours do not malfunction unless someone does not follow simple directons!

  • Some one was smoking in the lavatory.

  • He says they are allowing ops from 24 L and 24R,only, but obviously there is a departure off of 25L right in front of him. beware of the well meaning morons

  • fuck google ads!!!!!!

  • 24R is usually the Runway PAL uses on Take off

  • cool

  • The pilot did the right thing. Smell smoke, come back and land right away.

  • his south side of his airport's never shut down, and the slide on his back would open for anyone

  • Download Admuncher to skip ads. That bullshit of people typing 0:01 doesnt work. I didnt think admuncher would do it but it does skip the :15 - :30 second ads at the beginning of these videos. I downloaded a 30 day free trial and it downloaded in 40 seconds. This isnt some spam bullshit i have nothing to do with that company but it worked and i fucking hated the ads so im just tryin to spread the info if any1 is interested in not watching the goddamn ads

  • Actually, the helicopter wasn't there to record that emergency landing, but to record Emirates inaugural flight from Dubai - Los Angeles with their new Airbus A380's.

  • Guess thats why rosa parks didn't like the back seats.

  • What hapend?

  • Why don't they do a live feed on the 2500 daily auto accidents? Why do airline incidents only make the news?

  • @shellyoil32 Hundreds of accidents happen everyday, and don't always kill many, aircraft accidents happen but every few weeks/months and can kill hundreds.

  • @democratjoe hundreds of accidents dont happen every day, in all of the 2010 year their were no airline crashes!

  • @rufus324 that is absolutely wrong!!! there were two in one week in November alone!!! you're probably thinking that there were no crashes for commercial carriers in the usa....

  • @shellyoil32 because their are not very many airline accidents

  • Gas gas in your colored underwear to open the slides well gas gas gas

  • American always claims to have have the best maintenance but there always seem to be an emergency on an AA plane yet i never once saw a delta jet land because of something like that and delta is way larger than AA.

  • @KYLEAKAFLYBOIK best maintenance now there is none at all unless something breaks

  • "Now for those at the rear of the plane, if we crash the emergency slides will deploy...Maybe"

  • @ggod12345 That's the economy section bro. You get what you pay for :D

  • That reporter sounds like such a fag.

  • I wish Miley Cyrus was having her Party In The USA in the plane and it crashed.

  • Looks like everthing is in control.

  • 757... Is it? looks like one because of the nose shape...

  • @JellyTheDonut12 Its a 757. Look at the nose. Also it has winglets. 767's just recently have been designed to have winglets. This video was in 2008.

  • @pujols544 Isn't that what I said?

  • @pujols544 I'm confirming that you are correct. That's all.

  • Was this a 757 or 767? It looks like a 767 to me.

  • the reporter doesnt know crap. thinking he is like atc or something. dickhead

  • @RHCP9181 Funny thing is this reporter is Rick Dickert from Fox 11 News Los Angeles... I recognize his voice because he does traffic reports from the helicopter every morning.

  • @GabemeisterSP what a job lol

  • pretty sad for a reporter to not know his head from his ass talking about this plane.

  • I've always thought it would be cool to go down one of those plane slides. :] But not after a crash, just for fun

  • @AngelAri613 Take a Flight Attendant Safety training course... lol

  • @AngelAri613 ya it's pretty fun my dad works as a pilot and he invited my class to a field trip to an airport and he let us slide down the slide i got one of those home

  • @AngelAri613 Me Too. :D

  • Damn, an also Aloha also flew 737's too/from Hawaii from SNA Airport!

  • like unral ^^

  • dude Rick Dickert is my dads best friend, not even jokeing he lives in redondo beach

  • Typical AA Airline lol

  • ja en ................

  • Duh ?

  • wow i didn't B757s fly to honolulu

  • yes they do, i flew to kaui in one, eveything was fine.

  • @Tyrant1419 they can, 737s cant, a 757 is the smallest plane that flys to hawaii

  • not true Westjet flies 737s from Vancouver to Honalulu

  • Its a 20 min flighttime difference between the two cities from Honalulu

  • Honolulu Is Spelled H-O-N-O-L-U-L-U. U Moron.

  • Somebody needs to improve his grammer. You can't even spell YOU and your insulting me? get a life, YOU moron!!!

  • Continental flies their 737-800s to HNL.

    Do your frickin research

  • Also Alaska Airlines When I Was At Honolulu Airport I Saw An Alaska Airlines And At Los Angeles I Saw One.

  • @UnitedA320 yea, alaska flys to hawaii from lax, oakland, portland now, seattle, and anchorage

  • @EGIPredator your an idiot, Aloha flew the 737-800 i belive, and i know anybody else that knows about aviation, will tell u aloha had flights to oakland, idk rememeber any where else, and alaska airliens flys 737's to hawaii, its not small, u can get a cessna there, just have to replace back seats for fuel tanks. u can make it, trust me ;)

  • yeah 757-200. i've worked airline ramp for 5 years i can tell planes apart lol..

  • 757-200 is my favorite Boeing airliner.

  • @pilot7893 why...?

  • @HopeRanchFBS

I dunno, it just looks sexy.

  • @pilot7893 I like the 747 the most

  • @pilot7893 the 747 looks scary. looks so big hard to belive it would even get in the air

  • @jrdragster3323 if you think the 747 is scary big, look up the Antonov An-225.

  • @pilot7893 Really why? I really dont like the 3:3 seats

  • @pilot7893 757-282 RR is my favorite, 757-200 sucks!

  • @pilot7893 Boeing 757-282RRW is my favorite, Boeing 757-200 sucks !

  • @pilot7893 me too

  • OK i dont normally get involved in these but this discussion has been going on for long enough.

The aircraft that was involved in the incident on the 5th August 2008 was N192AN operating as AA31 from LAX to Honolulu. N192AN is a Boeing 757-200 as most people could tell due to the amount of doors and the nose shape.

    End of.

  • lax buses stinks, like the shit!!

  • face the fact... its a 757...

anyways... why did it made an emergency landing?

  • Smoke in the cabin

  • Scary fact. The plane lost control on almost everything such as intercom, elevator till both engine.

  • Huh?

  • who the cares wat model it was wtf r u 5

  • really? is it that ncessary to insult someone cuz they wanna know something

  • 757-200

  • are all of you guys this stupid. how much clearification do you need ints a Boeing 757-200 ill spell it out for you idiots sevenfiftyseven-twohundred. are you all good now.

  • airplaneguy17, while your spelling it out, try spelling clarification.

  • okay thanks

  • no probs !!!!

  • yep your right it is a 757-200

  • its a 757 couse it have 2 dors at the front the 737 only have 1

  • 757s and 767s have 4 different door configurations. so you are right its a 757 but counting the doors is not an accurate way to tell.

  • it's a 757 with winglets; new design on the aircraft

  • It's deffinently a 737 because it has winglets and double doors in the middle.

  • dont post stuff if you have no idea what the hell you are talking about that is a 757-200 for sure and 737 has flat botom engies and a two slante vertical stabilaizer

  • It's a 757, look at the nose of the plane, it's rounded out and slopes down right from the cockpit windscreen. Also, it has round engines, they're either Pratt and Whitney's or Rolls Royce, a 737's engines are CFM-56's. So YOU'RE the one who doesn't know what you're talking about!

  • plus its longer and it has More Doors

  • 757 has winglets idiot and look at the shape of the nose

  • It May Be A 737-800 Or A 757

  • Looks kinda big for a 757 maybe a 767

  • I think it's most likely to be a 757, it has that characteristic nose shape.

  • youre not blind

  • 777's have raked wingtips not vertical winglets.

  • yes American and loads of 777's don't have winglets

  • That's bigger than a 737.

  • 737-600 you got it.

  • 757-200 Rolls Royce engines on it

  • yeah 757

  • 777's don't have winglets.... Retard

  • most all large jets have winglets....its critical in many airplanes, look it up.

  • "HunyHawaii88" calling someone a Retard for posting a mistaken comment is a little harsh, I can tell you have issues.

"Its better to let someone think your an idiot than to open your mouth and prove them right"

  • 777's have blended wing tips. the equivilant of winglets possibly better than. know youre stuff then call people names

  • not yet

  • LOL American dosnt hack the 600 series

  • the tail also shows its a 757

  • I wonder why the over-wing exits were not opened...

  • Probably because over-wing exits are a last resort option...

  • American Airlines

    Boeing 757-223 WITH WINGLETS

  • no its noth!!! it's a 757-223 with winglets and rollsroyce engines

  • 757

  • its a 757 with winglets look at the Flight deck that tells it all no way is it a 737

  • this is final its a BOEING 757-200 with WINGLETS

  • It looks to me like a 757 with winglets.

  • Hi... Not sure if anyone will know this, but I am not overly familiar with the AA 757 Fleet. I am crew on 757-200, but the variant with the larger emergency exit aft of the wings. I notice on the AA 757-200, they have 2 over wing emergency exits on each sides. These appear not to have been used during this evacuation. Has any reason come to light about why they were not opened? If an evacuation was commanded on a BA aircraft, every exit would be used. I am just curious. Thank You.

  • But that's not a 757... Failure

  • Sorry, is that supposed to be a joke?

  • Not really, just pointing out an obvious fact.

  • Sorry, I am confused Are you trying to say that the aircraft that was evacuated at LAX, i.e. the one in the news footage above is NOT a Boeing 757-200?

  • thats a 757-200

  • Oh, just realized that. lol

  • thank god you did. i really didnt feel like explaining the ways its not a 737

  • No need to be an Ass.

  • just saying. you were pretty reluctant to accept that it was a 757. ive met some pretty stubborn people on youtube before

  • lol True that.

  • Had a guy the other day think a A346 was a 744. It was so funny and when we prooved him wrong he still denied the fact that he was wrong.Stubborn.

  • lol, to some people, if its a 4 holer, its always a 747.

my friend told me once the 757 was bigger than the 747 because its a bigger number. some people are just aviation retarded

  • Lol thats crazy , because the numbers bigger oh lulz . Yeah you're right some people are aviation retarded , like seriously. The only mistake I make with planes is probably the ERJ - 145 and the CRJ - 200 from one angle. And the A320/21. Other than that I'm fine.

  • Haha!Cool stroyes.. my only mistake was that i thought the first jet powered was a Me-232.. but it was a Me-262.. lol :P

  • The news anchor was wrong about which runways were open. 25L/R were closed for a short time. Later 25L was re-opened (the one where you see the plain landing on) Rwy 24L/R were never shown in the video

  • LAX is not really the best acronym to use at a place where security is so crucial. But then again, maybe it's just a lure to trap terrorists who think that the level of an airport's security is evident in their abbreviation.

  • And LAX isn't an Acronym. Aiport ids are called ICAOs.

  • Incidentally, i have flown for nearly 15 years and never had any sort of emergency with regards to boeing, i have however had 3 major emergencies whilst working on the Airbus fleet!!!!

  • The sample size you are drawing from is extremely small, IE just your experiences. There are tens of thousands of commercial airline pilots all over the world.

  • Airbus aircraft are manufactured in Toulouse also!!!

  • How often do you hear about a brand new car being recalled because of a design/engineering fault. Well aircraft design works in tha same way! Do you abanden the car for a different make of do you get it fixed and carry on, remember your paying thousands of pounds for this car. Well aircraft are the same. P.S i Do believe that Concorde was manufactured in Toulouse (France) that makes it European, and look what happened to that!!!!!

  • Again, it was an outside force that caused a mechanical failure, not an outright mechanical failure...lets see what happens to your car when its fuel tank is ruptured by debris...probably the same thing as what happened to the Concorde.

  • I HATE when people cite this accident when claiming the concord is unsafe, and by that extension, falsely say that is why it is no longer flown or produced.

  • As a Flight Attendant, the company i work for use both Boeing and Airbus. Both are equally well designed and do their job well, things that have to be taken into consideration are: the age of the aircraft, the conditions that it is flying in, and ultimately the engineers, if the engineer isnt doing his job correctly then the aircraft is not being maintained correctly, and lets face it how often have you gone in to work and your mind is not on the job in hand!

  • I am surprised a 757-200 made an emergency landing

  • Yeah, usually they just fall out of the sky...that's why I try to use airlines that use airbus.

  • boeing made and still makes most of the commercial aircraft in the world, thats why their are more boeing crashes than airbus. airbus is good too. but it not necessary to be so opinionated on the internet, because all you do is offend people. youtube is becoming so corrupt with comments like yours.

  • If I offend people by saying that Boeing makes shitty airplanes...those people need to get some thicker skin...give me a break. And whether it's cars or planes, Europe still makes a better, more dependable product, whether we are talking Ford vs. Audi or Boeing vs. Airbus. So many boeing, mcdonnell-douglass and lockheed fatal air crashes because of mechanical failure, and hardly any from Airbus.

  • this is ridiculous. i have a solution that will be way more positive and constructive for you... be PRO AIRBUS( airbus is great). dont be NEGATIVE BOEING.honestly you will get alot more acomplished if you support your interest not just dis everything else.

  • .. your post is ironic.

  • Since that mechanical failure was due to an outside force, it is not relevant. I'm talking about recurring explosive decompressions (DC-10) and recurring cargo door failures (Boeing 747), and oh yeah, multiple recurring rudder servo valve failures(Boeing 737), not one-in-a-million double birdstrikes.

  • "recurring rudder servo valve failures(Boeing 737)"

Didn't the A300 had a couple of rudder issues (different from the 737 of course)?

  • If you are speaking of AA flight 587, the pilot's violent and repeated stomping of the rudder pedals causing full deflection in both directions repeatedly caused the vertical stabilizer to break off shorty after takeoff. I'm not sure if that's what you are referring to or not.

  • I really hate it when people talk like their experts when they really have no idea what their talking about.

  • me to

  • me three.

  • i think we all second that motion...lol

  • compared to what?

first ever? for american? at LAX? cant be either of those

  • first emergency landing...that day? or what?

  • .....EVER!
