I remember seeing this down the town, in a huge box because the game came bundled with the stradegy guide. I was a kid had no internet, didnt look at game magazines, i just liked the cover of the game so i got my mother to buy it and it was one of the best games i ever played. It was scary and dark as hell for a nintendo game.

not true. ridley just goes unconscious while the space pirates revive him using Meta tech. so, he really dies in this game. in fusion, its possible that the remaining space pirates invaded the b.s.l. station, but the x took over, even ridley, and was frozen. btw, if u defeat ridley in the beginning, the baby metroid follows u throughout the whole game.

the frozen thing in the sub-zero compartment was just a copy of ridley. the x parasites copied life forms on the bsl and took over. the original ridley is mentioned in metroid zero mission, super metroid, and metroid prime 1-2-3. since super metroid came after metroid prime 3, ridley really died in this game

It is the same Ridley, in order to stay alive he ate the flesh of dead bodys, and in metroid 1 he came back becuse the space pirates found him and remade him or something :).

You do know that if you run to the hatchling thingy, the story stays (in some wierd way) but a extra baby hatchling follows you around all game. Try that! samus defeat the mother brain but mother brain not die complety. and samus found a metroid egg and the metroid recognize samus. samus catch the metroid to a study. en search good information for that creature and ridly come and get the metroid out and kill al the persons. and to the finel the gigant metroid is the mini metroid founded by samus. and metroid sacrifice for samus in the last battle. poor metroid >-<

And yes, it's german, my father's second language is german (he's austrian and the first language is a dialect of german). I speak german perfectly and this german is juts pathetic let me tell ya, and not even 1/5 of the text is written in the subtitles, barely 1-2 sentances per text (they're around 4-5 actually), so in few words, who the hell wrote the subtitles? They're very and I mean VERY bad. thx again.

U chaze Ridley to a planet (Zebes or TallonIV) and here u find the crashed space station in the water (in super metroid however it's not clear what station it is (if it's the same or another one)) and it's and entrance 4 one of the final levels. And the planet is infested with all kind of space pirates. And right after it, in the next level or place u have 2 go, u fight Ridley b4 the final boss in the final level/place. Curious isn't it?

That's because you've probably seen only speed-runs or time attacks. The speedy way to do it is to intentionally let Ridley defeat you (get you down to about 29 health), then he'll back off and the self-destruct will start. However, if you're able to shoot him 100 times, he'll drop the metroid, grab it back and run away.

If you beat him in the station, the ending of the game changes slightly (I think there's a ship or something). But if he gets you to critical, the battle ends automatically.

There's other things you can do to change the ending, like rescuing the alien creatures during the escape.
