  • Is his lineage and method good or should I go with master fong's lineage?

  • @Thomachesankara I first learned wing tsun(Leung Ting) while living in Italy, later after many years, I was blessed to meet a disciple of Grand Master Moy Yat. I began my Ving Tsun training from scratch, because the whole philosphy of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Kung Fu is very different than the others being offered. This is not to slight Master Fong, just my opinion. And of course it is important to know if either schools are in your area. Today I call the late Grand Master Moy Yat my sigung.

  • Si-gung was the best!!!!!!

  • RIP Sigung

  • RIP Sigung

  • I hear u arahim heh heh heh(details)

  • U probably played my sifus jong in Richmond(Moy Tung)

  • nice video...if you want see my wooden dummy too...

    /watch?v=UkhyhZzxIlk

  • That is good to see Sifu on youtube .let everyone to remember him.

  • It's not secret or anything, just copyright violation. The Dummy video is sold on DVD, I don't wanna plug anyone but it comes up on google. I personally think the family should just release all fhose vids to public domain, but the old men are all super traditional, what can ya do....

  • wow. I use to live like right next to him and see him all the time in Bay Parkway Brooklyn. he was actually a pretty funny guy!!

  • That is my si gung (si fu's sifu)

  • MoyTaiChing, are u still training? if so, where?

  • @toykilla1982 Hello, no I do not give lessons, spend most of the day fixing guitars and amplilfiers in San Marcos, Texas

  • 0:33 mui fa jong!?!?! Google it or ask a chinese what is mui fa jong.

  • I love these kind of videos, much less ignorance on the comments

    Train Hard Brothers

  • its amazing to think how many lives his kung fu has touched

  • It is good to see this footage of (my) Sifu Moy Yat, the Jong that Sifu is using belongs to me (Sifu used it for the video and I still use it to this day). This video was shoot on tape between 1986 & 88 (hard to remember the exact date) at the Old Chinatown school that was located on the 6th floor of 45 East B'Way, NYC. It was a good workout to climbing thous stairs before class. It is hard to believe that 23 years have gone by.

  • @MoyTaiChung

You mean you acquired that jong after sifu passed?

What years were you at that school...(which is still there last I checked..)

  • @trondyne - No I had it sent from Hong Kong, I loaned it to Sifu for the shooting of the video. I still have and use that Jong to this day. Around '86 to '88, before and after the video was shot (it's been a long time).

  • @MoyTaiChung

I may have trained with you... Where you there from 1990-1994?

  • @trondyne I left for Texas in Jan. 1990. Been in Texas since.

  • @MoyTaiChung

Wow, you left almost exactly when I came.. I may have bumped into you on the way in.... lol

You must have been there when Dan Inosanto was hanging around..

  • this would be my great great grandmaster.

    nice to see the video!

  • That's my sifu, proud to say...

Very cool guy....and very good VT...

  • Lucky man :)

Moy Yat is my Sigung, through Sunny Tang

  • i study at VTM master meng in dayton ohio in us this veideo should stay moy yat true master and hero in my book

  • we should all be adults here and show each other common respect and not reduce ourselves to name calling and my kung fu is better than yours,i think that is a poor way to represent anyones sifu or SiGung!i for one,i would rather see the real form than a contaminated version so the form does not become weak and lost with time...but thats just my point of view.

  • You Moy Yat students should be proud of your leanage teacher. I'm of Leung Shung leanage. There is no film out on the internet of him doing forms. It doesn't hurt to compare/contrast Moy Yat's with W.Cheng, Ling Ting, W.S.L,T.S.T or Yip Mans sons dummy form.

  • @wutc36 totally agree on the comparison of form. I enjoyed watching this video myself and I'm of the Ip Ching lineage

  • Why remove a treasure to be shared with the world ? And let them know what a treasure there is in Moy Yat kungfu,..

Great Grandmaster Ip Man is shown on here doing the first two forms AND the dummy and a clip from the pole form,....

Here's the secret, the secret is out boys, the door has been opened,..the only true secret is there is no secret...

  • It should be wonderful if we can enjoy the art of Sifu Moy Yat in doing the three forms in youtube. I don't understand why someone wanted to remove this video which is good.

  • Wing Chun is pound for pound the best fist fighting system in the world. Could Moy Yat actually fight with it though?

  • yes

  • im from moy yat's lineage too, y should this video be removed?

  • I too am from the Moy Yat Linage, since 1979. This video is copy written. Moy Yat Ving Tsun is a family, the non martial aspects of Ving Tsun (Sum Fat) are as important to us at the Kuet Kuen. Respect for your family, especially your Si Gung is essential to our linage and leads to living the Ving Tsun life. This Video was posted on youtube by a family member, one who should understand this.

  • As for "mofotox" you really think moy yat wc people suck? lol your an idiot... This video really should be removed and yes i am from a moy yat lineage

  • Anyone of Moy Yat linage? Let me know

  • i'm from moy yat's linage

  • where u from? and who is your teacher?

  • guadalajara, mexico.... my sifu is Moy Ka Lo Si (carlos moreno)

  • Caveat: If the poster is now the copyright holder please post evidence of such so further misunderstandings can be avoided.

  • This video is from a copyrighted series of videos published by Moy Yat. I kindly ask the author to remove it. If anybody is interested in purchasing the entire video, please contact William Moy in New York.

  • Thank You! (for posting this video) Truly educational.

  • I don't know who you are. But, if you show some respect to the Moy Yat's Family, then, take this video out. And for all you guys that have just a little part of his (her) brains, and say stupid things abou Si Fu Moy Yat, I just want to tell all of you F.Y.!!! I don't care of your comments. Poor guys....you will never grow up neither like persons nor like martial artists...sad... very sad.

Quita el video, pues es solo para la Familia. Primera llamada.

  • te apoyo totalmente

  • Hope you Checked this post out with your Sifu Pete, This tape was made for SSA students. I would understand if you made this a restricted video by subscription. So many train so long to get the Jong this is for Moy Yat students only. Pull it. Al - New York

  • Yeah, as if Mo Yaks lineage is a whole bunch of blessed ones, NOT! Go ahead, make it private, MYs WC suck ass and the world wont miss much, lol!

  • Ah!!! you are obviously an expert on all things Wing Chun. why do you mind making it private. if it as you put it (It Sucks).? Why are you watching? Where are your Wing Chun Videos, Can You Show All Of Us What Good Wing Chun Is?

  • @mofotox i always respected you mofotox but, now if i ever see your face in person i will punch it. really. youll taste moy yats kung fu first hand. and it is a bitter dish.

  • @ILOVECANTALOPE - Tell that to Si-hing Benny Meng, as he has made a DVD for each of the forms as well as the Jong and than some. Oh, I loaned Sifu that Jong for the shooting of the video. I still use it today.

  • What is keyhole(ing) ?

  • keyhole kungfu is just that! Learning kungfu through the keyhole of a door....or in other words..spying to see the techniques. Nowadays..it happens when sidai's try to 'listen in on higher level discussions or basically learn advanced techniques without someone opening there hands to it. Moy Yat kung fu is taught with traditional kung fu family values. Even though we all know that the true meaning behind the techniques can not be learned through videos, it is still a great disrespect to SiGung!

  • kasumitegu,

U think Moy Yat was the only one who knew the dummy set? U think his version of the Set is Top secret? the Holy grail? So super confidential it is not to be shared? Get a life Dick!

  • @akjunkie well, i can understand how my brothers feel you know. after all we consider moy yat to be the purveyor of pure ving tsun. note that every single move that he performs is highly deliberate and accurate. distance, hand placement, hell even the sound that the jong makes when he made contact. its performed at this speed because its a tutorial and its something that we all worked hard to achieve so, i understand my brothers reluctance to show this gem to the general public to be scrutinized

  • @kasumitengu

I don't think Sifu would mind if he was aware of what YouTube is, or how happy it makes many of his students to be able to see him online and share these things with others.. Sifu was a pretty hip guy after all....

I for one would like to see more of what is real Moy kung-fu online, there is precious little of it.. :D

  • @trondyne I was a student of robert smith who was one of Moy Yat's students for 10 years in miami fl,. If you want to see some of the authentic teachings of a close student od Moy Yat"s, go to Tom Chi on youtube. Everything he shows on youtube is authentic Moy yat technique.

  • @guitarsteve84

Sorry but not in my book.

  • Comment removed

  • Why would you post this? Perpetuating Keyhole kung fu. This is how you show respect to Sigung, by keyhole(ing) the kungfu?

  • Please remove this video.

  • @kasumitengu - It is simple to remember him. As for the Jong, I was, and still am the Jone's first owner, I had loaned it to Sifu to use for this video. It is mounted outside right now, still in use.

  • sigung on the jong very nice!
