@trondyne - No I had it sent from Hong Kong, I loaned it to Sifu for the shooting of the video. I still have and use that Jong to this day. Around '86 to '88, before and after the video was shot (it's been a long time).
we should all be adults here and show each other common respect and not reduce ourselves to name calling and my kung fu is better than yours,i think that is a poor way to represent anyones sifu or SiGung!i for one,i would rather see the real form than a contaminated version so the form does not become weak and lost with time...but thats just my point of view.
You Moy Yat students should be proud of your leanage teacher. I'm of Leung Shung leanage. There is no film out on the internet of him doing forms. It doesn't hurt to compare/contrast Moy Yat's with W.Cheng, Ling Ting, W.S.L,T.S.T or Yip Mans sons dummy form.
It should be wonderful if we can enjoy the art of Sifu Moy Yat in doing the three forms in youtube. I don't understand why someone wanted to remove this video which is good.
I too am from the Moy Yat Linage, since 1979. This video is copy written. Moy Yat Ving Tsun is a family, the non martial aspects of Ving Tsun (Sum Fat) are as important to us at the Kuet Kuen. Respect for your family, especially your Si Gung is essential to our linage and leads to living the Ving Tsun life. This Video was posted on youtube by a family member, one who should understand this.

keyhole kungfu is just that! Learning kungfu through the keyhole of a door....or in other words..spying to see the techniques. Nowadays..it happens when sidai's try to 'listen in on higher level discussions or basically learn advanced techniques without someone opening there hands to it. Moy Yat kung fu is taught with traditional kung fu family values. Even though we all know that the true meaning behind the techniques can not be learned through videos, it is still a great disrespect to SiGung!
U think Moy Yat was the only one who knew the dummy set? U think his version of the Set is Top secret? the Holy grail? So super confidential it is not to be shared? Get a life Dick!
@akjunkie well, i can understand how my brothers feel you know. after all we consider moy yat to be the purveyor of pure ving tsun. note that every single move that he performs is highly deliberate and accurate. distance, hand placement, hell even the sound that the jong makes when he made contact. its performed at this speed because its a tutorial and its something that we all worked hard to achieve so, i understand my brothers reluctance to show this gem to the general public to be scrutinized
I don't think Sifu would mind if he was aware of what YouTube is, or how happy it makes many of his students to be able to see him online and share these things with others.. Sifu was a pretty hip guy after all....
I for one would like to see more of what is real Moy kung-fu online, there is precious little of it.. :D
@trondyne I was a student of robert smith who was one of Moy Yat's students for 10 years in miami fl,. If you want to see some of the authentic teachings of a close student od Moy Yat"s, go to Tom Chi on youtube. Everything he shows on youtube is authentic Moy yat technique.
@kasumitengu - It is simple to remember him. As for the Jong, I was, and still am the Jone's first owner, I had loaned it to Sifu to use for this video. It is mounted outside right now, still in use.
Is his lineage and method good or should I go with master fong's lineage?
