They are great, but I have to say their bass player is chronically boring live. He just stands there and shakes his head. The drummer generally is just pounding away and the guitar/singer is always running around and flailing.
Ah yes, you can see a little bit of that in the "Tom Waits" video, Tim being as wild as Tom. It was truly amazing, and sad that Tim became "Boring" and left the band.
To play guitar at that level and be able to even speak coherently is talent.

when they first started, tim used to be almost as crazy as tom. toward the end of his time in fot he stopped doing it.
