  • Oh ya.. that's something I want to be a part of.......

  • Racist!!!

  • aaaaw the poor hoodlum not used to being told what to do???

  • DI Sgt Pettit???? I was in Platoon 1095 in 2005 You were one of my DI's

  • @DaveGreenewood I hate the USMC now... BUT! I will always have A LOT of respect for this man! He was by far the best out of all of my drill instructors.

I'm Rodriguez, platoon 1128, Fall 2005. Right before he ended his DI post. He told us that he was going to be playing minor league baseball.

  • That drill sergeant was telling him to run back and forth to confuse and discombobulate him wasn't he? I was told that that is a typical and a favored tactic by the drill sergeants to do so just to test your mental endurance. But uh.....I wouldn't know. Am I incorrect?

  • lol the black guy at the end was in a scared voice when he said "aye aye sir"

  • Why is he being so nice to him?

  • Must be great to be in the US-military. You are expected not to think, not to show any sign of an own mind. All what the senior says or what someone ones wrote in some dumb book is what you have to follow! C'mon!

  • @moost66 Agree. I was there, and that's exactly what it is.

  • @hu48go22 but that is not normal! :o(

  • im sure people will rip on me for saying i was loner and didn't like service for that reason. however, the fear of them or their other service mates dying might scare them , but not me. I have over 600 freefall jumps after getting out of service. I was nearly killed on 250th one and still got back into the sport a 2 yrs after my injury. I also hiked mountains i shouldn't have when others have said you shouldn't do it alone. My message to any1 if you have loner tendencies is don't join service.

  • @raysalsa1 Pardon me, but what do you mean by "loner" tendencies? Like you like to be left alone often? I mean, I like to have my own down time by watching a movie or play a video game (maybe a little too much) but interests such as that is that what you mean? I understand there will be NO privacy during basic but is there really none even after?

  • @Cusemanmike what i mean is a person who finds themself doing anything alone. riding bikes, hiking, travel, etc. It isn't b/c i couldn't find friends or pals to hang out with. I just always wanted to go my own way with no one tagging behind. I have never been married or had kids and am 41. i have had many woman who wanted to move in with me, but didn't want that. think about it you lose privacy living with family or friends. the navy begged me to stay b/c outstanding evaluations, but it wasn't 4 me

  • @Cusemanmike i wanted to add cusemike was that i was naval air station pensacola across street where they have bootcamp for officers who will eventually fly f 16s. I was surrounded by some of the most skilled and intelligent people in service. They offered me any program or job i wanted. I probably signed up not really knowing what military life was like on daily basis until u lived it. It's great for people oriented persons. All kinds of people can take orders and get in shape. thats easy.

  • @raysalsa1 Oh i see. I am a people oriented person. Don't get me wrong I enjoy my privacy and my alone time as much as the next guy but I enjoy the interaction with others mroe so. Still I get where you're coming from and also I'd like to thank you for your service!

  • the hardest part of service has nothing to do with the yelling and elementary tasks. the worst part is you never can find any privacy or peace of mind. It can be miserable if you have loner tendencies like me. I worked out in boot with navy seal instructors and always kept up. I seen guys pass out who looked fitter than me. So the physical part is mostly mental. I liked exercise before going in navy 18yrs ago so workouts were tough at times but doable. I was a loner and it didn't work for me.

  • @cerberus678, are you headed to pi or sd?

  • Anyone who has been to boot camp. im goin in less than a month now and im just wondering what the standards were back then, like IST/PFT standards, and how boot camp was run back then if anything has changed.

  • cool... makes sense..... even though I spent 6.5 yrs of my life in the Corps there are some sides of it that are still a mystery... thanks.

  • hey i would join the military...but i can't lower my mental intelligence and standards to the military. Bunch of retards in there that cant learn anything more complex than 12th grade english. lmfao

  • @ghilliemann

Speaking personally, I got into the University of Colorado on academics alone. Us "retards" learned stuff far more complex than 12th grade english.... such as how to kill assholes like you with our hands.

  • @TheIncredibleSquish how to kill assholes, what a usefull skill huh, university of colorado bullshit fuckin lying faggot, almost everyone is enlisted prove it fuckface, and i beat the fuckign shit out of you till youd be cryin for ur fucking mommy kid

  • @ghilliemann You were unable to lower your standards to 12th grade English? Looks like you couldn't elevate them to 10th grade. Attaboy on disproving your own point.

  • @TwoSonsStrong lmao u proved ur retarded in typin that. fukin read it agin cheesedick asshat scumbag

  • @ghilliemann Look who's talking, bud. You should try using correct punctuation before you make ill-thought judgments about the people who serve so you can sit at home and type your grammatically incorrect prose.

  • @ghilliemann Sounds to me like someone didn't score very high on the ASVAB. :P

  • @ghilliemann shut the fuck up fucken pusssy. you wouldnt join the military cuz your a bitch fucken scared ass punk u havent and never will thats something u will never have the privelage to do is say you are in the military weak mother fucker. u should be glad someone keeps your dumbass safe so enjoy being at home typing up stupid shit thats all you got the balls to do

  • @jec23crm "keeping me safe" military hasnt kept anyone "safe" or "protected their freedom" since 1945 so shut the fuck up, i got guns ill shoot any mother fucker if they come down here. plus im not scared to join the military...its like a walk thru the fucking park. i did more running on my high school basketball team then any of those weak skinny little twigs do in the military

  • @ghilliemann if they havent kept anyone safe then how the fuck are we still not invaded were still all free to do what we want. YEA i seriously doubt you have guns bro and basketball wow your hard now. how would u know its easy u never been in the military!i hate idiots like you who just run their mouth with out knowing shit. its not just physical u have to be mentally strong and disciplined which is something ur weak ass probably lacks so shut the fuck up your pathetic. just kill yourself

  • @jec23crm mentally strong? lmfao if any of them were mentally strong they wouldnt be in a base with a spawning ground of dumbasses who probably didnt have the mental capacity to go into college LMFAO dumshit id beat the fuck out of

  • @ghilliemann your so pathetic dude you have no idea what your saying theirs guys that get out of college and join you idiot. thats all you got to say is college?? hah their out fighting for what ever reason it is their out their which is something YOU would never be capable of doing is serve your country. with that said its done man u cant come back from that your just a bitch thats some real talk. YOU DONT HAVE BALLS TO DO IT HAHAH UR WEAK. im done arguing with a dumbass like u

  • @ghilliemann There is more to life than College.

  • For Security reasons.

  • I was there in 1987 but for the Navy.

  • I remember I was coming back from leave about a year before I eas'd. I was waiting at the uso for my ride to pick me up and there was a huge line of poolees. I couldn't help but smile at them. they have no idea how miserable there lives are getting ready to be. now most of those poolees are probably getting ready to get out soon. cycle always continues

  • He has the smokie but where is his green duty belt or Senior black belt?

  • @Isp5570 he wasn't in charge of a platoon, which is why he wasn't wearing the green duty belt or senior belt. This was a DI or DI student in charge of getting the recruits on the bus and very little else.

  • That was my drill instructor, Sgt. Pettit

I was in platoon 1128 graduated in 2005.

  • Why is everyone fighting over which military branch is the best, last time I checked ARMY, MARINES, AIR FORCE and NAVY are dying in the Middle East. The Eagle, Globe and Anchor does not make you invincible neither does the Army Iron Horse we all bleed the same and die the same.

  • @TerroristKiller1 No kidding. A terrorist's bullet and IED does not have any name on it let alone a branch of service.

  • @TerroristKiller1 w/e dude the marines are CLEARLY the superior fighting force. Go educate yourself and play some MW3.

  • @aaron1719 Son you barkin up the wrong tree I am in the US ARMY fought and still fighting alongside my Marine brothers in Ahfganistan, as for educating myself there is no better way to learn by living it, so you can keep the MW3 mommy bought you and stay safe and snuggly in the house while daddy goes fight in the desert sand. Much love and respect to my Marine brothers Semper Fi Hooooooooah!

  • @TerroristKiller1 w/e d00d you don't even know. Also its spelled Afghanistan.

  • Comment removed

  • @TerroristKiller1 forgot one.... US Coast Guard.

  • @lakemantaylor Sorry US Coast Guard...

  • ARMYYYYYYYYY

  • "..for security reasons unattended vehicles..." you think they have that intercom up there for added torture? You know? To make assured you realize that a few hours ago you could go all the way to McDonalds and now you can't move a muscle a centimeter to the left or your doomed?

  • be a duty hut private then run that fucker outa ass wipe every chance you get. they like that, seriously.

  • ahh, brings back memories haha. They yell at everyone as soon as they get off the bus, and bang the trashcan the very next morning 10 minutes before 6am. If you want to make the drill sergeants laugh: when they ask if you're fit for full duty, yell out "IM FIT FOR FULL BOOTY!"

  • @SmokeyCough

Lets think about this.... to be come a navy seal, marine force recon and army special forces, officer or enlisted, you have to complete what kind of training? Oh i believe it is what this recruit is going to.

  • its not all that its cut out to be i laugh every time they got in my face

  • @thebuckkilla Bet you did...

  • damn im leaving next month cant wait PI here i come

  • woot 777,777th view!

  • memories

  • That Ol' Sarge sure has gotten mean since he got kicked out of his cushy job in the supply room. He made a lot of extra greenbacks there, selling field gear to civilians.

  • awww memories

  • "Hey Sarge, you sure get angry quick. Have you been diagnosed as being dipolar?"

  • @SmilingMelvin LoL "Hey sarge, I'm still a civillian. Don't you mean, get in line right now, SIR?"

  • How do you get chewed out before you even leave the airport? How do you do that?!

  • @filletofcod By fucking up before you even get started.

  • look at his belt - not a DI.

  • I love how drill instructors never cuss and mellow things down for the camera. When your in training however....

  • wheres the soldiers at u dumbshit!!!!!! if u cant tell that d.I. is a marine cuz if he was a drill seargent he would have been fat......

  • lol, that's will be me in the future! I use to slow motion so it'll take time for me to react fast, but it's alright, I'll learn fast! Semper Fi!

  • @SmokeyCough dude you must be fucking high...those motherfuckers get hazed i assure and do you even know what a pog is?

  • Comment removed

  • @RollyU if you disobey a direct order i.e. when a di is yelling at you to do something, you will be sent to the brigg. Dont test them

  • What does the USO have to do with this?

  • @elteabrian When a recruit arrives in San Diego they don't just head over to the Recruit Depot. They check in at the USO, located at the airport, and the "recieving" DI's and buses pick them up from there to take them to Bldg.622

  • @SmokeyCough I can assure you that plenty of yelling goes on during the Marine Force Recon Training Pipline.

  • I wonder what would happen when that recruit slaps his drill instructor.

  • AHHHH....memories

  • get the freak back here?

  • Discipline, Respect, and Integrity is what you will learn or you will be weeded out quicker than shit through a goose. This is what young folks need. A little quality time with a Drill Sergeant. I wouldn't trade my time in boot camp for anything. In 1988 I didn't really understand what a Drill Sergeant was. On Day1 I absolutely knew what they were all about. They have a tough job but it's for God and Country. God bless all the Drill Sergeants for what they do.

  • @setto69

Marine Corps guys are called Drill instructors

BTW, can autistic people join the marines?

  • @Iraniancommunist777 What a fitting name for a little fool who sits in front of his computer all day in his mommy's basement responding to a comment by saying "Marine Corps guys are called Drill Instructors". Boy oh boy have things got that bad in Iran that you are checking out this website. Tell you what Iran why don't you open up a window and get a little fresh air since you are oxygen deprived and showing signs of delirium. Communist, you are officially banned from any military sites. Cheers.

  • there are some small kids there on the line do they get treated the same

  • I like how the US forecs can't say the F word...."get the FRIGG over there!"

  • @MrDonnie255 They can, my sure as hell did, maybe this DI knew he was on camera and didn't want to say it and have it recorded. I believe it is frowned upon.

  • @MrDonnie255 They can, just not in public.

  • Whats so hard about following instructions and directions? It's a good thing if you're used to this by the time you get there.

  • 10 days and this will be my life!

  • 8 weeks till its my turn to get yelled at like this :)

  • why arent they allowed to say "fuck" or any other cuss word? DI says "GET THE FREAK...." in other documentaries they say freak too. idk. anyone hav an idea?

  • @FastEddie718 because its being video taped lol thats the truth

  • @FastEddie718 prbly cause theyre on camera at the time

  • @FastEddie718 They can't cuss in public where there is other civilians around and not on video.

  • Awesome, in the middle of the general public at San Diego airport!

  • Knife hands!

  • I thought the yelling didn't start until after they got off the bus....

  • I wonder why they cant say actually swear instead of say 'freak' all the time? Either way the drill instructor seems like a hard ass.

  • @soundersfan90 Technically they aren't supposed to swear but they do all the time.

    Here's one example, /watch?v=_yMNO3WRAgA&feature=related

  • kinds sound like my dad

  • That means I MUST be talking to MYSELF!!

  • its like a pre learning thing they have to go through 3 months of this

  • @ejgdrummer @(any1 else who attempts to correct my word selection) Enough about the technicalities, people.

  • You know to say nothing right.......? TELL ME: I MUST BE TALKING TO MYSELF!!!! God, we seriously need these guys in high schools.

  • @TheEagerMcBeaver We need DIs in MIDDLE schools.

  • It's Barnett!! hahaha

  • lol wat did he do

  • @jazzyj12399 DI asked him a question and he wasn't paying attention

  • @jxhensley No he wasn't sounding off. Saying Aye aye sir!

  • LMFAO!!!!!!

  • I graduated Army basic in 02 and I still remeber day one thinking "Tyler, this is the dumbest thing you've ever done."

  • @thehotshirtguy2008 lol army...

  • He's a dumb country nigger

  • @ducatiprofessional God bless you....

  • @TheAmbassador11 whats God?

  • @ducatiprofessional You're nicer than your remark..That was beneath you.

  • how is it even possible to have been in DEP for 6 freaking months and not know that you have to say "aye aye sir"

  • My D.I.'s made my life hell with all the fuck fuck games lol....I still remember their names 11 years later. ssgt stevens, ssgt smalls, ssgt badua, and ssgt volmer. When I got to the FMF my plt sgt, gunny, first sgt, and capt all came from the drill field.

  • @salinster You never forget those names! You will remember them when you are 80 and shot

  • I love the idea of paramilitary training, in any application, it is the best way to train a large group of people, with a lot of info, in a short amount of time.

  • bastards, i still have nightmares.oorah semper fi do or die!!!!

  • @1225801 lol! me too and I'm 41. I had one last night. That's why I'm watching this shit.

  • @whiterodman pussy! Bootcamp was a big standup comedy to me. I was always on the quaterdeck. Dumb fucks made me the strongest guy in bootcamp because of that LOL.

  • @reynante09 they arent /supposed/ to swear, but drill instructors do whatever they want. that coming from my husband, guide and ironman when he graduated Marine Corps bootcamp ;)

  • I remember standing in that same spot!Good times!

  • hahah i remember seeing something like this when i was a t the uso before i left for mos school awhile back

  • I wanna see one where the soldier decides to start shouting at the drill instructor.

  • @george77772moons Marine Corps recruits have Drill Instructors not soldiers

  • @george77772moons Marines never refer to themselves as "soldiers" (technically they SHOULD be called Naval Infantry) - Only Army personnel are Soldiers.

  • @george77772moons OH you do but you know that if you do, yeah, fuck that.

  • @george77772moons that boy would get BONED

  • @george77772moons i wouldnt, those don't end well, at all, ever. Marine DIs are Marine DIs for a reason.

  • @george77772moons no...not soldier.. marine recruit. and when he gets done with bootcamp he still isnt a soldier. he's a marine, there is a difference... just sayin dont get all pissy on me

  • @Spartan2555 never soldier. that's like calling your cover a hat or your weapon a rifle. we're marines. period. POS scumbag recruits until we rated otherwise. I remember going back years later and standing in the same spot where I stood when we arrived and were about to get our grapes shaved.

  • @george77772moons: it would be WARRIOR, but he hasnt earned that title yet. "recruit" is what he is called

  • @george77772moons Funny that was me back in 1996. I did that and almost got kicked out of bootcamp. Thats why they fucked with me every chance they got because they knew I could nuckin futs

  • @george77772moons they dont have murders on youtube

  • @george77772moons

They aren't soldiers. They are recruits. And they will never be soldiers. They will be Marines.

  • @kathulas Oorah

  • @kathulas hell yea

  • @kathulas yea...you need to drink alot of gasoline during training to be a soldier

  • @kathulas Might be.

  • @george77772moons wowowowow zzzzz roooo! They are recruits! and if they make it they are Marines! not soldiers

  • @george77772moons when does that start happening

  • @george77772moons You mean the one that goes to prison?

  • @george77772moons That happened to one of my mothers friends son. He yelled back and then got mad and threw a punch. The DI beat the living shit out of him.

  • @KitamusPrime and that is how u learn not to mess with the DIs

  • @george77772moons The shouting gets put to an end quickly. The stipulation is one arms distance, if you advance any closer the drill instructor and his cronies could legally beat you down.

  • @george77772moons then you will also get to see one where the DI knife hands the recruit's throat.

  • @george77772moons

I've seen it happen. It doesn't end well.

  • Marines say Aye Aye Sir. So do the Navy. Marines are all equally broken down and built back up with discipline the same way. This isn't racist, it's a classic case of a typical recruit who doesn't know what he's getting into. He thinks, "Oh well if I join the Marines, I'll get ass of all shapes colors and sizes!" Until Drill Sgt. Common Sense reminds him to pay respect to the men who will make him into a man who didn't join for pussy, but joined to become part of the best. Like we all have.

  • Wow. Reading these comments makes me realize something. Most of you people are fucking stupid. This is not racist. This is how everybody gets treated. The Marine Corps says, "Aye Aye, Sir", (that's also how it is spelled) which is taken from Naval Traditions, as we got our start defending Naval Ships, hence us being part of the Department of the Navy, as it says on our emblem. Do some research before you go shooting your mouths off, or just keep your mouths shut. You sound retarded.

  • @devildog3042 Well said!

  • @devildog3042 real marines say aye sir

  • @sportscar50 aye sir!

  • @devildog3042 MARINES = My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment, Sir!

  • The idea of Marine boot camp is to remove all sense of individuality and build a team member. The smallest unit in the Corps is the Fire Team, which consists of four Marines, each watching the others' backs. It is also capable of providing not only close combat capability, but also suppressive fire, as each fire team has a Light Machine Gunner, and an A-Gunner, who is responsible for carrying ammo and extra barrels. Every Marine is essential to the other Marines, and this starts that mindset.

  • are there recruits that arive at the training depot with camouflage clothes

  • I though Marines only say I, sire. And the Navy said I ey, sir.?

  • @IronLion27 Marine traditions are pretty much, if not, the same as Navy traditions.

  • @rikyrick87 Nope. That would be the the Marines. I love teh Navy. Best branch in the world.

  • This is so racist.

  • @SledgeHammer15 how is it racist? thats how every recruit gets treated at basic training...

  • @SledgeHammer15 That is a really moronic thing to say. If they treated him like a king you would scream racism as well. Plus everyone is equal in boot,, theyre all dog shit at that point.

  • Funny how I still remember the details of that flight down to San Diego. Even the brand of smokes ( a yellow package of Lemon Twists ) I had on the plane. Jan.21st, 1974. And boarding the big green school-type bus late at night.........All of us kind of looking around at each other in the darkness.........all probably thinking: "It's not too late to get off this thing." Minutes away from those friggin' yellow footprints. Met a retired D.I. a few years ago. The stories that guy had...LOL.....

  • ahh old memories
