Darn , hit the button accidentally. In real life I have about 400 regular friends, about a 20 transgender . All my age. The TG people on YT that I like and listen to, are just people I like. Erin, riftgirl, Jayna and Mila , a few others like yourself. While there are TG things you all talk about , I feel it's really just about people you like . After SRS the world becomes huge and all the things about transition slip away. All there is are friends.
wow I just found this video, and you know I so fully agree with you on friendships it kinda puzzles me when people expect us to be on autofriend when we find out someone is trans as if it's a automatic qualifier
Have you had sex reasignmentare did i miss something. Do you think there is a whole new feeling in having the penis on or off for mtf transgender? Myself i,m more content without it and find it more comfortable for a man if i have which means not all men are alike some it doesn,t matter.Since i am not attracted to women sexually i feel great with a man.and considered myself straight and irritates me still to have that label Transgender or Transexual. Thanks for allowing me to express my fellings.
It is hard to hang out with trans people after you're no longer trans and just living life in the correct gender role. While it's easy to sympathize with those currently going through transition, there are other issues in life to deal with and not everyone's cut out to be a trans-activist.
Maybe the transgendered group has gone downhill because so many transsexuals want to be women, and they don't want to help a fellow transsexual because they are keeping their true identity a secret. So how could we have a support group if so many people want to keep it a secret?
That is what i think, i'm transgendered too..so would this be an issue?
Hmmm... I really feel like starting a vlog series now. What program do you use to record? I've never done it before.
On a trans-related note: 27 years? You look amazing! I assumed you began transitioning in early teens or something! I hope I turn out as well as you. xD
All people are like clouds - we all come in various shapes and sizes. That said, no one likes a raincloud who never changes from their gloomy take on life. I try very hard to make sure I'm not _that_ cloud, nor associate with other clouds like that, trans or otherwise. ^_^
I've had instances when transfolk much older that were isolated tried to befriend me who I could tell were drauma queens. They got angry when I tried to keep my boundaries with them. I agree about the "filters" and sometimes generation gap is one, negative people is another, trans or not. C'est la vie.
I think everyone needs others around them that will always be a good positive influence. So I think what you are saying is very true. Not to mention that people that you call friends are the ones that you look to and appreciate in times when you feel "down" I guess you could say.
break down in what community? there isnt one is there? id love to see it. i hope you werent thinking of moi when saying bout being down all the time, im just going through a really rough patch 'rents arent helping ignoring me...
Thanks Charlotte for the time you have taken out to answer the questions I had. I also thank you for your videos. You make such good points. It is so true about associations. When I stopped being around dead end crowds I got a great career started. I hung out with pilots and now I am one. So, I find no flaw in your reason and agree with it.
I agree, we need to have people in our lives that help lift us up not drag us down. For the longest time I would try to be friends with girls who were big girls like me, regardless of their personalities, because it's hard being a big girl in today's society, so I figured that big girls need to stick together and show each other support. Well a couple of them were just extremely negative people and dragged me down. I finally realized that I needed to cut ties with them for my own well being.
What I like about your vids is your attitude and demeanor

What the hell did this video have to do with SRS? Your comment makes zero sense.

I think it was a random response to a throwaway comment you made in the video indicating that you sometimes didn't mind answering questions. I dunno.

what if there's a transperson younger than you who has questions??? :-P
Still, its really annoying when people think of you as "that transvestite that I hung out with once"

I think everyone has the right to participate or not. I can't blame others for choosing to stay away from the community.

"People accept you for who you are otherwise they wouldn't be your friend."
Very well said. Make a subliminal tape of this so we can finally get it through some peoples brains.
Is that a tattoo I see? I don't recall having seen that before. But then again I joined late.

And, by the way, that's a VERY good way to put things... friends are friends independent of community, whether they be part of it or not.
