Wow, that amp is so responsive, such great tone. Great job, on that guitar, buddy. I just picked on up in mint condition, I won't even tell you how much....(it has 2-12's)...ok, ok, got it for $700. I'm very happy.
Also, the tubes I replaced on this amp were JJ ecc83s's and 6l6 GC's. Played a gig last night with it and found that it's got even more gain on tap that before I changed the tubes. No problems getting metal out of this beast. Had the gain dialed in at 1:00 and we were playing material from the first Dio album. Just the amp and no pedals.

I have one of these amps and I love it. I am still working on the sweet spots. Any suggestions? All I use is the the Clean and Burn. What do you set the Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Reverb, Contour if you want just like a clean 80's sound for Ballads? On the Burn Side for a Good Hard Rock Distortion. I don't use a distortion box because I like the amps tone. However, I do use a Boost Pedal for lead solos. Just getting ready to go into the Studio any help would be appreciated.
Great demo and playing. I hate when people demo an amp and just play leads the whole time. Very thorough. So after owning the amp for a few months, have your opinions changed?
What were your amp settings? For the start?

Great amp! I've got one! Just replaced the stock tubes for JJ's and now it sounds even better.
I'd have to dissagree with you on one thing though! The amp's plenty capable of doing Metal all on it's own! It's all in the playing technique!
