the problem is two capacitors on the power supply board. They are 1000uF caps right next to each other on one end of the board. You can get them at Radio Shack. The thing is, there maybe more problems. Once you replace them you will find out. That this is junk, your best bet is to just go buy another one. If you replace the caps you may be lucky and that will fix it. But like I said, you may find more problems once you get it going.

I have the same problem. Which caps do I use Radial or Axial, 50V or 35V how do you know which ones are out?

I FOUND YOUR PROBLEM!!!!
look at the bottom of the TV, do you see where it says "APEX".
