  • you have no idea how much this made me laugh..so random xD

  • that's something different than a flying sausage.

  • Do you undistort image before tracking?

  • Well theres something you don't see every day.

  • Dope

  • Im A Flyin Teapot, Short and Spout

  • Wait I don't get it, how did these guys capture film of my mode of transportation to work?

  • Its not every day you see a giant teapot flying down the road ... :-)

  • tutorial? :D

  • hi pleasae could you just briefly explain how you did this its outsabding i couldnt bileve it when i saw it exelent work my friend

  • where did you get pf track?

  • LOL Max's teapots are a beauty. Someday somebodys gonna make a movie with all kinds of teapots are characters. LMAO!

  • Very nice.

The only criticism I have is that it would be nice to see some more environmental lighting (like from an HDR) reflecting off a bit shinier surface. The shadow is perfect.

  • PFTrack & PFHoe are the best motion tracking programs

  • fake.........................!

  • OMG, ITS A FLYING TEAPOT :O [^^,]

Nice compositiion :D Very stable and keeps moving perfectly even when out of the picture for a few frames :D

    Nice production ;)

  • @jneves4pt thank you very much for your kind words

  • nice

  • hilarious

  • ^^ At least a tea pot knows about traffic rules. Nice job, you'll get a "Like" from me :)

  • very nice =) , mm i have a question plz , how can i put shadows on the image plane in maya, ty

  • @y0utuve One way is to create a plane and turn off it's primary visibility and tell it to only receive shadows. This of course, is if the intended surface is known to be flat.

  • thank you all

  • very nice and funny

  • Nice haha

im having problems aligning the ground, if I get it right on the first frames, at the end its not on the footage ground anymore

  • ahahah

  • Good job - 5 Stars.

  • now that's funny!

  • teapots are awesome

  • ololo !

  • Is PFtrack compatible with Poser?

I mean, is it possibe to import tracking data into Poser?

  • hum.. I don´t know at this time. PFtrack exports an script that you can import in the 3d app (maxscript for 3ds max, mel for maya, etc...), and even can export an ascii code (if i´m not wrong), does poser use any language or scrpiting method?

  • @thecayflow Yeah it does, it uses Python

  • @EssieP Thanx! :-)

  • @thecayflow "an script"...where the hell is that grammar from?

  • siick

  • thats a pretty fast teapot ! good job ^^

  • i love this vid, makes me lol aswell, good job

  • Great job.How do you make the shadows apear?

  • Thanx, I used a matte/shadow material for the "plane" (ground).

  • say i wanted to have a cgi plane fly straight over while the camera was panning, would i have to camera track for a sky shot? if not, how do i do it?

  • If you want good results you´d have to do a camera track, definitively, or else it looks very artificial.

  • what does it grab onto? clouds lol?

  • seek for references... begin filming the ground, and use it as the "base" of your 3D scene, for example... ,-)

  • thanks

  • how do you make it look so realistic? like when i put a 3ds max thing into real footage it stands out so hard. This cup looked like it was litterally flying down the road. how do i make my cgi look more realistic basically? thanks

  • Light is the key. Match the light in the CGscene with your film plate.

2nd step is postproduction: add motion blur, add grain, add blur if necesseary to match the lens depth of field...

  • k thanks. ill have to research some of this more though cuz idk wat lens depth of field is and how blur fixes that

  • hehehe... thanx for your comments, :-D

  • This is so funny, and well made.

I swear if this ever passed me in the street I'd run up to it and try shatter it :)

  • hmm did u make that track yourself?

    I think not.

    lol nice

  • It´s an extremly easy track due to lines on the road, they help a lot in perspective...

  • lol

  • lol, nice

  • this was such a simple track but funny and well done! vray is such a good render...did you match grain in shake or AE?

  • thank you!

I match grain / blur in premiere (mblur was build directly in V-ray settings).

  • LOL!!!

  • GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENIOUS!!!!

  • cool

  • thx

  • nice ;p
