@spacemonkey175 hey man, glad you like it :). Made this last year because the song really connected! You should check out my doobie brothers "what a fool believes" remix too. Though I also make a ton of my own stuff, want me to send you the links?
While I hate remixes where you speed up the song, I do understand that this isn't an easy song to remix. Not saying anything bad about your skills, but maybe this isn't a song that should be remixed.
@amandamaya123 hey amanda. you have my sister's name—cool. Thanks for sharing your opinion, but it is exactly just that—your opinion. Saying this "shouldn't have been remixed" is like saying a piece of art—any art—shouldn't have been made. It's like saying "that dance move shouldn't have been invented", or "that painting shouldn't have been painted". As is the case with all art, that decision rests solely on the artist :)
@Babstbabe my pleasure, Babst! I have very eclectic tastes that cycle through various kinds of dance mixes, but more of this flavor to come in the future for sure :)
Hello, friend, thanks for listening to it. There are a few different ways to make a remix, but in this case I bought the original song, applied some low cut to make the vocals more prominent than the original drums, and then added my own drums, beat, and bassline. I moved a lot of the vocal parts around and overlapped them in some places, adding vocal effects also. But there are many ways to make a remix, and sometimes it's even about making a brand new version with only the vocals.
@nafunkdegroove hello friend thanks for listening and glad you liked it :) i have many new remixes and original songs in the works. with remixes, it depends--you can make something brand new, or take out some of the parts, it just depends on what you're aiming for
@DJDannyDance Aha, i guess that to take something out of an original version you have to have different tracks of the instruments and that you where given those from the original producer, right? its sounds like a hassle. and it must cost a lot of money to get a permission for this.
this is FRESH!! never taught anyone could make a keane remix worth listen too, musta been tough

@DJDannyDance Sorry to make it sound like that, it wasn't my intention. You are very right, and it was wrong of me to say it like that.

@amandamaya123 no problem, i think opinions are like feelings—they're valid, they're ours, and having them is what makes us unique :)
