  • I've never seen a 25 channel radio. I have a Browning R-2700A that has a variable receive that tunes a bit below ch.1 and up to approx.ch28 and the RC allocated channels but the matching 23-S/9 transmitter is just a straight 23 channel transmit.

  • @orange70383 The 25 channel thing was a short lived idea. The way I understand it there was a proposal put forward to add the A & B channels, which later became 24 and 25, for some special purpose. I no longer remember what the channels were proposed to be for. It never happened although there are a fair number of radios from that period in the 1960's that had the extra two channels or at leas the channel slots in case if the legislation was adopted.

  • I got a Comstat 25B it looks a lot like that radio, you got any pics or videos of the inside?

  • @sales4me24 No I don't but Gary shows some pictures of the inside of the 444/25A and B in the last link in the video description above.

  • How much were you trying to get for it?

  • @Delivered0ne I'm not trying to get anything out of it because the radio is not for sale.

  • Im intesested in the mod for the ALC. I might try it in my 25A.

  • @TheZeke1974 I will convert it from audio to typed format and email it to you in the near future. The gentleman and fellow collector that sent me the mod usually communicates with me via audio recordings.

  • @262NagantRadios Hey that would be great! maybe you can help me with my HB 400 as it has whimpy audio output.
