Taito is releasing a sequel to Darius Burst in arcades this winter called Darius Burst Another Chronicle. Supports 4 players on one cabinet, has two 32" screens. Arcade Heroes has more details.

something interesting about what is shown in the video and ingame, um, in the game when you use the burst laser, you can't shoot your weapons like what is portrayed, nor have i figured out how to make it shoot anywhere but straight, anyone think they can enlighten me? The manual is all in japanese and seeing as that I imported it from japan and am an asian-american, I can't read any of it.

yeah, its got the original darius ship in there too! which if you use that one, you don't have the usage of the Burst Cannon/Laser, but, the cool thing is that the music played while using the original ship is the original 16-bit songs, or was it 8bit? anyway no matter, just food for thought.

Looks like fun, though possibly easier then Gradius III and IV... damn those are impossible.

its about the same difficulty, the stages are setup in a pattern like way, where there are 5 stages per play through, like after the first 2 stages that are always the same, after the 2nd, you can pick 2 different routes, and then after that 2 more, then 2 more for whichever final boss you want. The final bosses are a real pain and Arcade mode has unlimited continues so yeah....the other modes once unlocked has only 1 life, but usually has you start off with max powerups and like a 10hp shield

its actually really fun, until you get to the last boss, then you'll be happy that you have unlimited continues, lol. though if you use a continue to beat the play through, it doesn't go through counting for your records to unlocking the different modes, new ships and the standard art gallery.

why ps3? you have no idea how much those ps3 games cost.

psp is just right so you can download the iso and play it unless its costom firmware but be carefull of cops.
