The truly great merit is that Lobo was able to position their songs in an era dominated by Carpenters, BeeGees and other monsters. He did it alone and even now I still admire and singing their songs

@lapreda- nice comment! Music is a very competititve business. Drops from being #1 to #20 & even lower is very common. Musicians do struggle with adjustments, to position themselves on what clicks out there. Tougher than what we think. LOBO however seemed to position himself in a safer spot where invading bands and the rest of giant music makers didn't mind him at all. I guess his music was not a threat to the other bands. LOBO's music was about love, relationships & hearts.

Kent Lavoie, AKA Lobo, has one of the greatest sounds in music. He sounds just as great in his 60s as he did in his 20s. Lobo is simply a national treasure.

Growing up in Africa as a child I only saw photos of him on his LP. He was so young and cute but my God this is the first time I saw his video. Still looks great!!! Thank you sooooo much for the memories. His voice still gives me goosebumps. God bless you!!!
